The 500 that MD has is the MOQ, not the price drop point. Because of some problem with MD's system, they don't usually program in all the points on drops like this. Regardless, I think intelli mentioned that there wouldn't be a price drop, but rather more keys added to the base kit if it hits that point.

I love the set, but tight wallet season for sure 

I do find myself wishing there was a way to get standard F-Row colors for the dark mods as well as the standard set, outside of the Purple ones. I never seem to keep non-standard color layout kits on my boards for very long.

Bad timing for this set considering it's the holiday season but I've always got some money saved up for special things   Three paycheck month too so the hurting wallet isn't awful.  In for a single base set!  Super FX isn't super appealing and I'm not going to pay $50 for a RGBY WASD cluster.  Mods could be cool though

I hate to shatter your dreams, but the 250 MOQ is on the FX kit and that only matters if the main set hits 500.

I would be all over this but it's poor timing as well for me. There has also been a flood of keysets lately so I don't really see any new ones ever getting as many orders as what TA and Granite did.

Im still shocked we didn't reach higher numbers, even considering the launch date probably wasn't ideal for most people.

I'm pretty sure that Massdrop counts each kit as an order, so if you have one order but buy four kits then MD counts that as four overall. I know it was like that during the Granite runs but it could have changed by now.

Damn, I just refreshed the MD page after having idled on it for most of the day, and it went from 142 purchases to 136. Looks like people are losing hope and making it even worse by dropping out.

Either that, or they've realized that it might not be the best time for buying caps, haha.

Wasn't intended as a slam - I've just been following this from the first IC post and think it's a great set. So it's somewhat frustrating to see it not do as well as sets I was less interested in! But diff'rent folks, diff'rent strokes, and all that.

Yeah, this set is probably one of the most "signature plastic" esque GMK sets I can think of, lol. WHICH I'M SURE SOME MIGHT TAKE OFFENSIVELY, but I really like it.
 
Very colorful, but not overdone, very nice use of the gamer set to harken to the SNES's D-pad and start/select button colors along with the PAL/Jp color scheme.

I really thought this would boom up to the MQO in no time, but I think that this set was just dropped at the wrong time. Maybe wait a few months and try this again, Intelli. I'm sure it'd be successful if it wasn't squished between both a bunch of GBs and the holiday season.

That is, only if this DOESN'T make it.

I hope it does. I'm in with just one set + the super FX/gamer set, though I'd love to do two, but financial priorities will not allow such things.

I was a little sad myself to see this so hyped and then just kind of meh out. As you said, I hope they can retry because it is such a lovely set.

For many newbies at mechanical keyboards the value of a set like this is not clear enough, they made strong comments against it since day one; besides, the season was a hard time for personal economy so even those that may be interested do not have the money on hand. The final result appears to be a hard to reach MoQ, that is needed to keep the price offered. It is interesting that color combinations with stronger colors like Skidata reaches MoQ easily, even at a higher price. I still do not understand the logic of color preferences at GH.
