Hi all,

Thanks, Skysophrenic, gtxorb. Here's my photo album of stuff ordered/obtained + screenshots of our PMs. http://imgur.com/a/Emw1T

I did a quick read through of what people ordered, I think there may be two double orders so far i.e. mine and Skysophrenic's KBT Race, mine and phosphoric's Filco MJ stock clears (@phosphoric could you check if you also ordered C10.? I can't remember how many Filco's there were and I have a feeling there was only one) , and nobody ordering what I got:

Ordered these:
1. C07. Corsair K95, lubed 60g clears, SIP mod Old Glory Theme, $70 http://imgur.com/73pYdb9 http://imgur.com/C1N9OlJ  http://imgur.com/Na4yyKE
2. C10. Filco MJ1 fullsize, stock clears with new PBT doubleshot keycaps, $70 http://imgur.com/eV9FD6j
3. J05. KBT Race 75%, SIP modded, 2.2v colorful LEDs, $50 http://imgur.com/IQwMZGP

Keycaps:
4. Cyan on White dyesubs (ownership pictures taken with Filco Majestouch because I forgot about this set.) NIB Fullsize ANSI $20

Headphones:
5. Sonicgear Green Bluetooth headphones
6. Sharkoon headphones

I've only got the headphones of what I ordered; berserkfan sounded stressed out, so I assumed he might have swapped a Singapore order (it doesn't look like it from what Sky and I have). Anyone else in Singapore?

@WNovizar, I offered to drive to his place to pick it up to save on postage, but he said his family members were shipping it out all together (first screenshot of PMs in my album http://imgur.com/a/Emw1T) and I relented.

I only have his UOB account number; no return address or name or number. I've blanked it out for now, but if worse comes to worst...just know that I have this info. If it really turns out poorly, I'm available in SG to knock on his door (I'm assuming there would be someone somewhere on GH who has mailed him stuff before, or someone who transferred him via MoneyGram and obtained his address and can provide it).

I am reserving judgement for now, but I'll be honest; it doesn't look good with the double orders, deletion of main post, deletion of imgur links et al. This could turn out as the last-game play in a recurring Prisoners' Dilemma.

** edit: as of 2000h 10 May 2016 SGT, double/triple sold:
ikeadragon, Skysophrenic, biocalves - J05. KBT Race 75%, SIP modded, 2.2v colorful LEDs, $50
ikeadragon, phosphoric, ponnx - C10. Filco MJ1 fullsize, stock clears with new PBT doubleshot keycaps, $70
ikeadragon, ponnx - C07. Corsair K95, lubed 60g clears, SIP mod Old Glory Theme, $70

ponnx, gtxorb, Dymloslouire - DSA grab bag - $20
nugglets, biocalves - Vortex White on White Doubleshot PBT for Backlit - $22

~ikeadragon, biocalves - Cyan on White Thick PBT $20 <-- same set? Mine was also $20 but dyesub, I don't remember if there were multiple sets of these going out..

...Impression's getting worse by the day...

Never thought that the sale will become something like this. It's my first time buying from someone @ geekhack too.

Here's my list.

1 cherry wob grab bag (30)
Dsa grab bag (20)
30 x clear stem (9)
Filco stock keycaps 1 set (5)
Taihao (red, yellow) (16)
(And other freebies. I don't know what will he sent me, i said to make it as a surprise lol)
+ 19,2 shipping, totalling 99,2 usd, i transferred the money using WU, converting it to 138sgd.

I'll be updating my received package as well, but he hasn't sent me a tracking code either.

I'm in indonesia, but if anyone want to knock his door i'll be available for a airplane flight.

Well this is interesting considering I ordered these:

DSA Grab Bag - $20
Vortex White on White Doubleshot PBT for Backlit - $22
J05. KBT Race 75% - $50
Cyan on White Thick PBT - $20

I'm in the US so I haven't received anything yet but from the posts I see there are plenty of other people who ordered what I ordered. Interesting to see how this pans out.

Edit: I ended up paying via Paypal gift because of how much noise he was making over the whole Paypal fees and whatnot. But, that's completely my fault.

I also paid for the Vortex set, and am in SoCal... This should be fun.

Going to give him the benefit of the doubt, since he did have a TON of ****. So not unlikely there were multiples of things.

Well that could be true for certain items like the KBT Race or Cyan on White PBTs, but things like DSA grab bag where he wrote that he would include every DSA cap he could find was sold to at least 3 people here that I count so there's bound to be people that are going to be disappointed.

Ok, reading this makes me slightly concerned. I ordered:
  • IBM Bigfoot, stock
  • One premium keycap set
  • Orihalcon's SDL to USB cable
So far I see that me and Scarpia seem to have ordered the same Bigfoot (IIRC there was but one). That's interesting considering berserk's writing that he was glad someone finally showed some interest in the Bigfoot. Anyway, it's a freebie, so I can't be too mad, but without it my shipping would have been a fifth of what is was. Will be interesting to see what shows up. More so than if the progression of this sale would have been normal. That's fun, I guess.

The post office tried to deliver today, but there was no one here to sign for it.  They will redeliver tomorrow, and someone should be here, so I will post the results.  But just the fact that it is here is enough to say that he is not just no shipping.  Things just take time.

Can we ask folks who have received a package or attempted delivery post their location please? It'll help the rest of us know roughly when we should expect things to arrive.

Hi All,

Work in progress, but what I have here is a Spreadsheet of everything that has been bought. THIS WILL END UP BEING EDITED.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hdp5VngkejeTHM_U8G2JFJUCGYrsgH_-GX1EmXfHx5g/edit?usp=sharing

What I ask now is for people to contribute screen shots of pm's and timestamps of items you received. Do not share personal details (edit those out) and do not post OP's details just yet.

It actually doesn't, and might be misleading.  My package was very light, and was just caps, and is quite early.  They can fit smaller, lighter packages on ships easier than they can larger items.  So, personally, I think it's counterproductive and can lead to more stress.  Use this link to singpost to tell approximate times of shipment rather than others fortunate shipping times.

I wouldn't say no one has gotten the right shipments. Those that have wouldn't necessarily even check the thread. As I said, mine is at the post office, so as I'm updating the thread, that might be a positive to balance out. Time will tell.

Actually, it does, because SingPost's data lags up to 2 business days and depending, shipments may actually be going air rather than sea. SeaMail is the branding, not a statement of method these days. There's a massive number of factors to consider as I mentioned previously as to when you will actually get your package, not the least of which is your local customs processing. Generally speaking folks in the US with simple orders should see roughly similar delivery times though. For example, folks in Cleveland and Chicago should expect similar delivery dates plus or minus customs. It may be MUCH faster than stated (e.g. May 3rd shipments for the US east coast probably all entered the country on May 6th via air freight) or it may be slower.

That said, the real point in posting said information is so that folks who have not received tracking information can have SOME idea as to whether or not they should be keeping an eye out something this week, next week, or not start worrying yet based on when they paid and when it was shipped. We don't want to have folks screaming bloody murder when they shouldn't even be expecting anything for two more weeks. It's not fair to anyone if that starts happening.

He explicitly told me sea mail, and quoted me rates for that.  The only reason I found out it was singpost was from the provided tracking number.  Did he say something different to you?  And it would be misleading no matter the method- in fact your argument makes it more misleading, not less.  My package was supposedly sent 2 weeks ago to the US.  There is no way that by any measure it should be here.  But it is.  And that lapse in time is no where near typical, so using that rather than singpost times would be folly.

Provide me as much info as you can if you are connected to what has happened here! We already have cases of some double/triple sold.

I have also come across some questionable payment details (things not matching up). But I'm treading lightly on this matter. Stay tuned.

Will check back again later tonight.

It seems like a lot of work; but, what do you think you can do with the information, besides verifying double sold items? The OP asked people to pay using wire transfer and western union that are basically with no claim resources.

I ordered a full set of blank zinc caps.  I recieved 37 blank zinc caps.  If you recieved the full set in the wrong package please notify me. :(

Perhaps I could shed some light here. Many people refer to the MKC Zinc 37-key set as a "full set". Even Massdrop marketed it that way until several users including myself complained that it was misleading.

I don't think they make modifier keys in zinc, hence I doubt a *full* 87 or 108-key zinc set exists (unless OP explicitly stated otherwise). Hope this helps.

Oh, no. Please, nobody think that he was lying or being misleading about the shipping method or costs. I can confirm for you that the 'SeaMail' part and the costs associated were completely truthful. Here's the thing though. SeaMail is a branded service that may use SingPost - it's like when your Amazon package gets delivered by your USPS mailman even though it went UPS and has a UPS tracking number.
And here's a direct link to SingPost where you can look up your overseas shipping costs. Just plug in the appropriate country and weight.

For a 5kg package to the US without tracking going economy without customs processing fees, insurance, delivery to your door, or residential delivery it is $80 for a delivery window of not LESS than 42 days. For SpeedPost Standard it is $116 base rate to get it into the US in 10-14 days. 2.5kg packages are the exact same because it's a 1-5kg standardized unit. Just like FedEx Ground and UPS Ground, SeaMail is the branding for "surface mail service." It does not guarantee that your package is going proverbial slow boat from China! It's like when I order a package from Amazon with "no rush" shipping - I usually see it in 2 days anyway because I'm close to a major distribution center.
I definitely would not view it as misleading or a negative. He managed to over-deliver on the shipping (faster, full tracking, insurance, etc.) despite a significantly higher cost normally.

TLDR version: SeaMail doesn't necessary mean that it'll get sent by sea/on a boat. Sometimes it gets sent by air.

Nope, I paid for a set of 87 keys.  Not 37.  Enough to cover a tkl board in ansi.  They were from a gb years ago and included mods and a spacebar.

You're right - it is a lot of work to keep track. At the moment all I want to do is to piece the puzzle together. More information is better than no information, and consolidated information is better than scattered information. What makes it weird is that OP has clearly sent items out, instead of straight up scamming. At the end of the day, what people want is the stuff that they paid for. If everything was indeed sent out, we, as a community, can re-send stuff to each other. It's not ideal and proves to be a second logistics nightmare, but it's better than just leaving with no sense of direction.

What's more, some people paid with paypal, some by WU, some by moneygram, and some using a bank transfer. All of these require ID's for confirmation. Singapore takes stuff like this very seriously, regardless of whether the methods of payment have claim resources. If anything, collecting information now can help aid an investigation by local authorities if needed. I believe that action is better than inaction, and that an attempt to find out where our money/stuff is ending up is far better than just sitting back and accepting defeat.

Again, the issue of timing is still on the table - as rootwyrm as pointed out, there may be very legitimate parcels that have simply not reached their final destination. We don't know yet.

Never thought that the sale will become something like this. It's my first time buying from someone @ geekhack too.

"the sale" is an inadequate descriptor for this event

It is probably the largest and most convoluted set of transactions in the history of the forum.

Exactly. Its almost the same as craigslist to a point.

I never said that he was being untruthful.  Just the opposite.  I think my package is here... but I found out that by the spreadsheet it was apparently double sold, as I paid for the MD Granite - several sets, and apparently gtxorb thinks he bought all of them.  USPS doesn't automatically redeliver, so I didn't get my package yet.  But I purchased the following:

Quote
$14 numpad
$27 common kit x2
$25 text mods
$22 text pro mods
$14 specialty

Which would make his order impossible to fill.  I also paid via Paypal, so at least I have some recourse if there was a mix up.  But I guess I'll see tomorrow.

I've unlocked this post.  If you have people receiving the wrong item or nothing at all yet, despite attempts to contact you, you are not "done".

The mod team can't do much here to help, but at the very least we can ensure that people have a place to post publicly regarding the sale.

I think that he meant that the sale was done, to keep from getting more PMs about it.  As he also edited the first post, I don't think that's a danger at this point, however.

Just for reference on the double-selling comments, berserk has been known to purchase multiples of GB items and many other things (hence his massive collection and the scale of this sale), so it is entirely possible that he has legitimately sold multiple of the same item to each of you.  Just FYI - I'm not making conclusions about anything here, just commenting.

He sold me a Granite Num Pad a couple of months ago, but I know he had a few sets at least. He has mad pockets and seemingly a large space for keyboards, so it's no wonder his missus is making him downsize, hence this "group buy."

I've said before that I thought this would be interesting to watch, and I will reserve judgement until a package actually gets delivered to my door. With that said, I only spent a little over $100 so I'm a lot less nervous than some others who've sent him $400+.

I think a little communication never hurt anyone and the right thing to do is at least post here to let everyone know that he understands what is happening and is planning on doing something about it. It would probably ease a lot of tension and at least prepare people for what they might need to do in the coming weeks.

This is true.  I was going off the quantities he had in the Word document when I ordered, but he might have updated it before I bought, if the other order was done before that time.

Hmm.. well I'm still hopeful as berserkfan has always been a nice guy and very knowledgable.

But just for thread purposes:
I ordered a handful (like 1x r5, 1x R4, 3xR3 + F/J) Scarface caps?

Did anyone order a overlap?
Keyboards:
Filco Majestouch 2 - Sakura Edition [MX Blue]
Filco Majestouch 2 - Lotus Edition [MX Brown]
Realforce 23ub - Modded with 55g Domes.

^ I don't think there's anything intentional going on- with something this large, and the stress of moving and a spouse on you, there's very likely to be issues.  And if it were me, I personally wouldn't be quick to jump in either.  If he answers one, then that opens the floodgates- waiting until people actually have their parcels seems like a reasonable wait, or you're going to be buried under inquiries that actually have no real merit or basis.
