But seeing how many people like GMK skeletor, there seems to be a market for these sorts of sets

I agree, I was a Skeletor buyer. For me, I'm just looking for something different. Colored mods + colored alphas on white can get boring sometimes. Although I have some decently colored SA/DSA sets, I like keysets that are bolder and a bit adventurous.

Likewise! I can only throw so much money at boring "classic" black/white/grey/beige sets, so having something different and bold is great, in my opinion.

Yeah there is no way that this can be SA and get here in a reasonable time.  It could be DSA or GMK.  I would be in favor of GMK.

I'm for DSA or GMK as well. You should update the OP and add the new images at the top (don't delete the old images, so people can see the progress that was made :) ) and change the title to something more enticing, if you have the permissions. I updated my OP post with GMK color codes.

Yeah that would be a good idea.  I will update the post right now.  I really like the way the set is going and I think it would be really nice in DSA.  I dunno about interest though, it is kind of hard to gauge.  I don't really want to make another reddit IC post for a little bit so I might put this on hold for a month or so just to wait for everything to calm down and then run the IC.  I really want to make the set happen so I am definitely not going to give up on it.  I think updating the blue was a really good idea and it makes the set pop a lot more.  I think DSA is the way to go too.  That way you don't get anyone saying "Its just Troubled minds and Pulse" since it will be in a different profile and plus the legends are completely different and the orange is great.  Anyways, I think that is the game plan as of now.  I don't really want to just spam the sub with tons of IC's all the time, that will just create less interest.
You do what you think is best. You're spearheading this set. I'm just getting the ball rolling :thumb: I think for now we can leave the profile open to what people feel like they want, DSA VS GMK. Both manufacturers have the colors we want.

In regards to people possibly saying "Its just Troubled minds and Pulse", I disagree. There's only so many colors to use and there's already a long-debated colorway ownership dealio, so I don't think it'll be an issue. Besides, this isn't some arbitrary design. There's pre-existing inspiration from it (Rooby rooby roo!)

True true!  Lets hope so.  It is incredibly difficult to make anything nowdays that can't already be made from existing sets.  Namely Round 5 + 6 you can basically make anything out of those and it is super hard to create something new and interesting without having it be just some variation of those two.  Anyways, I am looking forward to making this set happen and I will definitely be continuing on with this set.  I really like the way that it has changed and thank you for helping me out.  Updating the blue is by far the best thing that has happened to the set and I think it was a great change.  I really appreciate it man!

As for profile, GMK could be interesting, but their colors are limited.

What about SP DCS? I know there are some detractors for DCS, but done well, it could be done with bolder colors than GMK, and with better prices. SP's wider range of colors could match the Mystery Machine better. Furthermore, there hasn't been a DCS buy in a while, maybe time to revisit the profile again?

That is a possibility. I think we're keeping our options open so that could definitely be in the fold, if people like the idea. I personally dislike DCS  :)) :))

Yup, I am totally open so anything is a possibility at this point!

You should also remove the pic with SP's color swatches since only the green (VAT) is correct at this point  ;)

I would totally be in for this.

One suggestion, maybe BBJ instead of BBQ? I've always thought it was the better color of the two, personally.

Will look into it! Thanks for the suggestion. I encourage anyone who is interested to chime in on color opinions and such. NOTHING is finalized yet, so there's still alot of room for improvement and growth  :thumb:

It's not a render but the updated version of the set does not match the color chips because the color chips are for the old KLE.  I will update the post when I get home and remove all that stuff so it's less confusing.

Hey guys I posted this IC a while ago but is just getting some attention now so I figured I should update the post.  This is the new and updated version of the keyset.  It will most likely be SP DSA or GMK.  If anyone has feedback or ideas for novelties let me know.  I would really appreciate any and all help.

Just some background, I grew up watching Scooby-Doo and it was my favorite show as a kid. I thought the colors of the Mystery Machine were really cool and I figured it might look good on a keyset.  This is what has become of the set since.  I have had a lot of help from people like Pinecone who have breathed new life into this old project.  I think the biggest and best change from the original was updating the blue to a more vibrant shade.  Anyways guys, thanks for stopping by!

I like the new look of it. Very nice hues & hope this is possible.

Would love to see this in DSA.

You know, if you wanted to get some Scooby brown in there, how about the numpad number keys being brown, and the keys surrounding them being orange or green?

You meddling kids!

(this could make the set resemble both Scooby and Shaggy, depending on the green)

That could be adapted! Thanks for the input. The initial concept was inspired by the groovy Mystery Machine, but we could add more character-personality.

Very true, just a shade difference and it could be a totally different thing! I'm liking the brown that a few of you guys suggested. I'm envisioning the brown numpad with green/blue alphas in my head right now. I think it would go quite well, actually! I'll see what I can possibly do.

Yep, "And, I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!" What a great line from my childhood.

So, does that mean I get some Scooby Snacks? Then again, given what they probably were maybe that's not a good idea!

I was thinking, the numpad could be purple for Daphne, orange for Thelma, green for Shaggy, brown for Scooby, or white for Fred, all color coordinated with what they usually wear.

Oh dear god, this is gorgeous. I don't know what I would even use it on but I would buy at least one set if not more! My love for everything Scooby-Doo is enough in itself but this set is gorgeous enough that I would buy it anyway!

I really hope this comes to fruition!

I gotta be honest, I would probably not buy this one.  I'm swimming in caps right now.  But it's fun tossing ideas around and this theme is ripe for creative collaboration.

Some novelties off the top of my head would be the a Mystery Machine side profile (this would be one of the larger caps), Scooby-Doo (another larger cap), Scooby's tag, the original Scooby Snack box, a front profile of the rest of the teams heads (Velma, Shaggy, Fred, and Daphne), Scrappy-Doo, and the typical Scooby-Doo ghost.

That's just what I could think of right off the bat, I am a huge Scooby-Doo fan and this keyset is like heaven to me (making it GMK would almost give me a woody), but I could definitely come up with more suggestions if needed.

Some recent buys have proved that some bright colors may called the attention of a decent amount of fellows as to create the hype to reach MoQs, some of us though, prefer form over function, but who we are to say something about these new sets, so I really hope this makes it.

I really am not usually crazy about super vivid colors for a full keyset but the last few that have shown up have really hit the spot for me, especially this set. Scooby-Doo, the originals, is my all time favorite cartoon and this set really screams Mystery Machine to me. I prefer the darker colors but there is just something about these recent sets.

I really think that seeing this one on Massdrop would bring in a LOT of people just because it is tied to Scooby-Doo.

Zoinks! I dig the far out colors, man! But jeepers, I wouldn't put these on my boards because of the flashiness. Maybe a MiniVan would look good in these colors? :D :D :D Good luck going forward!

I much prefer vivid colors on caps.  I've gone through decades of drab and dull caps so let the colors fly.

I know that the van had orange on it, but personally I would prefer it without the orange, as with it I think that there is too much going on in terms of colors.
