« on: Thu, 27 October 2016, 05:00:43 »
Morning everybody, here is the nomination thread for keyboard of the month for October!

This will still run for it's projected two weeks, even if it is a little late, and please remember that the board must have been posted somewhere on the forum this month!

Last month's winner was 27's Mech27

Don't forget to +1 your favourites! Entries close on or around the 10th of November!

An oldie but goodie. MrBishop sent moistgunando a case after seeing his handmade keypad. A perfect companion for 60%; wonder if there will be a GB since the QazPad v2 is stagnant... :duckthink:

It just needs more cap symmetry.  :-X

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But thatís incorrect. Itís in HHKBís slogan, but when Americaís cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I lubed the Gateron blacks with stock springs, lubed and clipped the gold plated stabs and stuck some DSA Hyperfuse on there to create my daily driver. It took me about 140 days to get to the current state - from learning how to use CAD software, to getting to milled parts, to final lubing and usage.
