[IC] FJELL 60% High Profile Keyboard Case

Hello!
I been talking to the factory about what tolerances I have for these cases. The prototypes were very good, with some small flaws that would go unnoticed by most people, but I still want to make these better so that we get the highest possible quality out from the situation.

We had:
Some "stripes" on the side of the case, from the machining

Scratches on the brass weight(difficult to work with in this shape)

Some of the corners were not machined correctly.

We have been going through these small problems, and hopefully they have improved by our next prototype. The factory is very cooperative and they delivered an amazing products aside from these very small, almost unnoticeable flaws.

Shipping:

I am prepared to pay over 700$ in shipping to get these to me after I have placed the GB order, these are super heavy cases. From me, I will set up a solution with tracked shipping for everyone.

I am also figuring out some good options to include, and extras.

Posting so I won't forget about this. I love what you've done with the centre screw post; most weighted hipros don't have it due to the position of the weight.

If you want to live the hipro life, you should probably have either a wrist rest or good posture (wrist suspended while typing). Otherwise it's going to hurt. If it's anything like FMJ or Hammer, bottom row (assuming regular R4 Cherry mods, not R5) will be a few mm higher than in a Tex case.



By the way @Leandren, I'm a little concerned now about the corners. If they're really rounded, is there any chance that the corners of bottom row Cherry caps will rub against the case? Have had this issue with some other hipro cases. I see that you like Skidata a lot so perhaps you could test it out for us GMK users? To me it looks like V2 is going to be tight around the edges, and V1 has a little more wiggle room for the board.

Yeah it is true. It doesn't scratch at the normal position now, but it is awfully close. We will reduce the roundness by .5mm to make sure.

It doesn't look good when there are too many of them on a board.

I am suggesting two things:
- As I read from a few TaoBao listings that their alu blockers are screwed into the PCB, unlike those Pimpmykeyboard blockers where one can just snap them in. Snap-in blockers will be better.
- A pair of 1.5u blockers and a pair of 1u blockers can turn a 60% into the HHKB style and the Winkeyles style in a few second and it doesn't look half bad:



Of course these low cost addons are not as elegant as running another Groupbuy and spending another few hundred dollars on a specialized HHKB case and then also on a Winkeyless case.
(I know that LeandreN offers Winkeyless plate option and HHKB plate option)

I think the problem with trying to match a gray case with gray keycap sets is the grays will never be the same color unless manufactured to match.   I think two dark grays together, but different shades, is a little silly looking    That's why I'm putting terminal on a board with a black case! heh. 

Based on your color option renders above.. I miiiight try to get in for a blue case, but I'll probably wuss out and go with silver.

But what is this at the top? It only shows on the Fjell page. I thought you said it wouldn't start until R5 ended?
