For case i still don't get any information again about sample from wei KBDfans

Wei e-mailed me yesterday about the preparation of invoices that he is going to send out. Of course, he will confirm the sample case to fit with Silentreader first.
Everything is getting there, slowly but surely.

Did they ever give an answer regarding the ability to buy a Tina B or other case as part of the same transaction? I posted the question on the reddit thread linked above but no one ever responded.

And I didn't ask further if more cases can be ordered also in such a discounted price.

- PCB and plate didn't shipped yet to leeku form factory (Leeku said 15 sept deadline factory ship it to him)
- I'm no longer have proxy in Korea so i need to ship it first to Indonesia before ship it to you

Then that means the dimensions and fitting of TINA-YAS62 case will be examined in mid-to-late October 2017.
I am glad that both Silentreader and Wei are trying to be very careful in the productions for this run.

Well, I have no control over KBDfans final pricing and their marketing / branding strategy, despite all my effort spent on collecting e-mails and comments and orders.

Perhaps it's good to think positively that a case design tailor-made for the kit is available at the same time it is going to arrive our home.

For the black color request, I think you can send KBDfans' people with a request message or a comment. They have so many Alu-anodized cases produced and added a few black YAS62-TINA cases to their black anodizing bath won't be a big problem, I believe.

What I was trying to say is, of course the lower price would have been even better, but 120 is still very reasonable.

I love the YAS62 layout and I am more then glad to be able to get a quality case tailor made for this. <3

On a one part case it will be difficult to impossible to machine blockers with room below for the plate/pcb.

Also it would be difficult to insert the pcb/plate into the case.


To make this work, both pcb & plate would need to have cutouts so they don't extend below the blockers.

Upon further inspection it would seem that you're right. Wei suggested that since he has screw-on blockers, that we would just need screw holes in the plate/pcb. I'm fine with doing it myself on the plate but the pcb I'm more worried about...

I've made wooden cases before using a router on a custom jig.

It's not that difficult and I can give you a rundown/some pics if you are interested. =)

I might take you up on that!

On another note though, I have talked to wei again and he said he might be able to find some good adhesives to connect the blockers to the side of the case after installing the pcb/plate thus making it so that there would be space for everything without having to cut or drill anything.
I have seriously fell in love with the 5degrees aesthetics so hopefully this works out!
