Recommended Lube for Cherry Stabilizers

Hello !

What type of lube can i use on my cherry stabilizers ( especially spacebar).

some say lithium Grease is the default manufacturer choice, but i read in some places that it damages some plastics.... 

can i use silicone lubricant ? but in spray ??

or solid vaseline or engine oil ??

the litium grease in spray damage plastics ?

Silicone grease works really well. They are safe to eat so I assume they are safe on plastics.

iirc vaseline will damage plastic so maybe stay away from that..

Vaseline is petroleum jelly, which is based on petroleum (oil). It will eat your switches.

Lithium should be safe. Silicone is safe. Synthetic can be anything.
Whatever you use, you want to make sure it says on it that it's safe for plastics. Just because it's based on something safe doesn't mean there isn't anything added to it that won't attack plastics.

If you can't be sure something is safe, don't use it. Go to a hobby shop with an RC car section (or website) and get some there. Almost anything used on an rc car needs to be plastic safe. Diff lube works well on stabilizers, it's what is on my Filco and it has lasted a long time.

Isn't that spray?  You want a thick grease substance for stabilizers

yes, is spray, i dont fount thick grease and not damage plastic :/

You really want something thicker for stabs, and you certainly don't want to spray onto the keyboard.

 it is used in machinery that is in contact with food...
