What is your favorite 60% pcb?
I really like the simplicity and build quality of the GON Nerd60
I won't lie, I was tempted to pick up a gon PCB, but I can't do my layout without QMK, and $70 is a lot if I'm just gonna nuke the boot loader. Plus if I wanted LEDs I'd have to figure out how to smd. They do look nice. I just use a few multiuse keys that I can't really reproduce in other firmware.
You could try a b.face. I haven't personally tried one yet, but I really like my B.87 by winkeyless and I assume it would be the same quality. It uses bootmapper client, and it's pretty darn easy to set up multi-function keys.
You can do just about anything with bootmapper client
I should be more clear. I have multifunction COMBO keys.
I setup 2 FN keys, either 1 can access a layer, but if I use both, I get a totally different layer. There are ways to KINDA do this just be having FN keys to other layers in your fn layers, but it never works quite right.
For me I setup 3 layers, the base layer, 1 layer that is accessible using EITHER fn key, and a 3rd layer than is accessed using both. There is no way I'm aware of to do this with any other firmware. So if a board can't use QMK I probably won't use it.
