Welcome back to SA Sunday Morning. It's been a little while since this IC has seen any movement.
I'd been gone with another project and performing render services for this community but I thought I would take a break from that and put some time into this project.

Let's see if we can bring this back from the dead.

For The Newcomers

SA Sunday Morning is a keycap set based on the color scheme of one of my favorite vinyl that I own and is named after one of the most significant songs in the album.

Hey there everyone, this set needs a bit of help. Due to the nature of SA it sure it can be a bit expensive. Intertwined with the holiday spending, I understand that not everyone may have been able to make financial room in December. With permission from the vendors, SA Sunday Morning is being extended 2 weeks until January 16.

This idea has been with my for a while. The colorway comes from this vinyl that I find to be very important to me and is the most pretty album I own currently: Songs About Jane by Maroon 5 (limited edition triswirl 1/4k)

This is in VERY early stages of development. A few novelty ideas I've had for it are simply a record/vinyl, a record player tonearm to go across the enter key, perhaps a cassette tape somewhere; someone also had suggested key song lyrics for the various keys. Any suggestions would be taken into consideration.

Things in question:

GMK or SA profile:
Asking custom colors of GMK results in a high MOQ of 250, on the other hand, SA mans for a long turnaround time and likely higher cost. I have an appreciation for both profiles though my vision for this set sits closer to SA.

Arranging the colors:
The question for how the colors are arranged is really simplified down to either black or red text for the alphas and mods. The accent keys will remain black with "peach" text.

For your enjoyment I have arranged very mediocre renders of both of these in both profiles... Sorta. The SA I was having issues with the font coming out too small, and the cherry/OEM does not support row profiles for porting KLE layouts into blender. Should this gain enough interest, I will try harder with renders or likely have some made but for now I think this will do:

This is my first interest check, I am currently a student, and am kinda working on a board project on the side, so please don't expect quick movement on this to start. You can expect my full devotion to it once we have picked up speed, though, for now, it is only the beginning.

Awesome color way and theme! This set looks retro to me so SA would definitely accentuate that. I definitely love SA and will join if this set becomes SA.

This is more SA than GMK. There's too many GMK sets. As said by someone else, the style feels more retro.

With regards to the legends, SA can probably pull of the red legends, with GMK I'm not sure. Due to smaller legends I'm afraid it'll suffer from too little contrast and make them very hard to read. So my feeling is that with GMK legends should be black for readability.

With variations in lighting, colors from camera, and render inaccuracies, I think GMK red text will be fine..in person, the contrast is decent enough. Should it go the GMK route, I will order samples to show.

I don’t see it slowing down at all, he’s got plans for it and once those samples are in hand there should be an update! I like the idea of a nice SA set to break up all this GMK we have right now haha
