Noice.
Would be nice to have roman numerals and both thumbs up & down as novelty.

Interest Checks / Re: [IC] DCS INTRO WOB AND BEIGE
« Last post by VTX_ENGINE on Wed, 02 July 2025, 05:37:16 »
I've bought both sets, WOB and Beige. Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed with the quality. The legends are extremely wonky and have inconsistent line widths (see images). They look so bad that I'm going to return them. :( Is this expected with DCS keycaps? I have a set of DSS Dolch keycaps from Signature Plastics, which have very nice legends without such flaws.

Besides, the "beige" keycaps are actually off-white, not beige.

We are currently in discussions with DCS to explore solutions to these issues. It is evident that many of the sets are exhibiting problems that should be considered unacceptable for a manufacturer as prominent and historic as SP

When Bill Clinton left office in 2001, he left Bush Jr a  Budget Surplus

Eliminated the national deficit, and had the highest employment rate of any sitting President since.
But all anyone remembers is a cum-stained dress

Matias / Re: Matias 60% Keyboard Group Buy
« Last post by aphoid on Tue, 01 July 2025, 19:50:36 »
If on 2014-11-10, instead of putting your $160 of money into the group "buy" for the Matias 60% with plastic case, you had bought a US Treasury Bill fund, you would have just under $200 today.  If you had invested in a  US S&P 500 fund, you would have almost $600.

Follow the link if you want to see what the value would be for today (where "today" is the day you click the link).

Similarly, $160 in November 2014 has the same buying power as $217.80 in May 2025.

I noticed that this keyboard started crowdfunding yesterday, and here are some updated photos. Is anyone interested? It seems to offer other PCB layout options; I saw both 60% and 87% PCBs. The link says it can provide DIY CAD drawings. Is it difficult to DIY a capacitive keyboard?

You be much better off going with a true custom that has EC internals, which there has been a ton of lately & thanks to Cipulot there is even TKL & 60% EC PCBs that fit a ton of customs. Then TBH Niz's EC components are pretty meh IME compared to OEM, Deskeys, KLC, or Dynacap. That's honestly why you're not seeing much discussion over this, also the fact Niz is crowfunding seems a bit sus too. They have already released a ton of plastic EC boards & even a few metal ones. Can't see any reason a company like them should be crowdfunding.
