GB will be happen in June 2022. Exact dates will be announced soon.

Is there some kind of issue with it being ePBT? I'm still pretty new to this so I don't know the difference in manu's and stuff yet. Would there be a reason to choose GMK or other over ePBT?

In the current moment I did not want to run another GMK set because of lead times and I wanted this set to be dye sub because the novelties were going to be way more detailed than doubleshot restrictions would allow for. There are many reverse dye sub keys, and this is another reason why I have gone with EPBT and their new process for this over other PBT dye sub manufacturers.

I also went with EPBT because they are slightly more established on fulfillment than someone like Milkyway, although I am still considering Milkyway for future projects. I was quite impressed with how EPBT Cool Kids and Ivory turned out.

Per the comment on putting the keys from the “Extra Tools” kit in the base kit. All of these keys require reverse dye sub, so that makes them more expensive per key than a normal dye sub key in the same lengths. I wanted to keep the base kit at a more manageable price point.

Fixed the spelling on Quetzalcoatl, thank you! While yes, in culture the Quetzalcoatl is a God, in a broader sense Quetzalcoatl is a mythical creature and a cryptid. It might be stretching the lines a bit, but I thought it was a good addition here.

Oh yea I forgot about the reverse dye sub thing. I guess its fine then.

Also I was wondering if you could add an r2 "x", r3 "-", r4 "+", and a 1u enter for the numpad kit. This would allow for an all 1u numpad. Kinda like the kitting for simple hangul.

i think some of these keys can be used for an ortholinear with a numpad too

Seeing as this is EPBT, at the very least R3 PgUp, R4 PgDn should be moved from extensions into the base kit if 65% support is something you wish to have in base. See this image for an explanation.
Other candidates for moving into base, based on utility/popularity, are: 2× 1.5u System + second 1u Alt, second 2.25u Shift, 2u Shift. However, these are less valuable than the two keys mentioned above.

It would be desirable to change the R4 1.25u Menu key in base to either Fn or Meta. This is because Menu is a very inflexible legend that doesn't really work as a substitute for Fn (which is what most people use in that position in their keymaps for most layouts), whereas Fn and Meta can work as both Fn and Menu (as well as other keys).
If visual consistency is a consideration, then perhaps Meta is the best choice here since, unlike Fn, it doesn't look too narrow when placed side-by-side with System.

This seems to be a very common mistake in new sets nowadays. It was likely perpetuated by KRK having the same error in its files.

The second Fn is already covered for by the Meta key, and besides, I don't think anyone uses two Fn keys that do the exact same thing on 40% boards.

Going one by one here:

• I mentioned previously that adding more modifier keys to the base kit would disproportionately increase the cost because these are reverse dye-sub, so I will not be adding keys to the base kit for that reason. The alternative would be to break out the non macro keys into their own kit, but there are already so many kits for this set and I do not want to make this set anymore difficult to fulfill for the vendors than it will be.
• Will change the 1.25U menu key to a "function" key.
• There is not much of a point in removing the one duplicated M1 key while keeping the other keys that would require both M1 keys if both sets of keys were used (m2-m5, m2-m10). So duplicated M1 stays.
• Will add a 1U R4 and R3 code key to the extra tools kit.
• International kit is being fixed with your mentioned changes
• 40s kit is receiving a sizeable overhaul and transition to icon mods for all non-R4 legends, will consider these alterations as well.
• The 1.75U spacebar can stay, I dont think it would shift cost too much for this kit.

First. Love love love this IC. It hits all the right notes for me personally. Awesome theme. awesome color combo independent of theme. Awesome colors chosen to compliment the theme.

Now what I would like to see changed. Can we PLEASE get Bigfoot in the wendigo position on R1 with the two color options that wendigo currently has? All due respect to wendigo but when it comes to cryptids there seems to be two undisputed kings. The Loch Ness monster and Bigfoot. In all likelihood if I buy this set it’s going to go on a 60% layout. The only icon mods I’m likely to use are enter (Nessie) and r1 escape. I understand this may seem trivial or even highly isolated to one specific users needs but I’d wager to guess that for people that don’t go full icon, enter and r1 escape are the most common keys where icon mods are used. I’m sure I’m not alone in wanting the only two icon mods being occupied by the worlds most popular cryptids. Thank you for considering this request.

Thanks for alerting me to the discord error, was just a hiccup with discord server boosting cancelling the vanity URL. It is fixed now!

As for the Bigfoot R1 novelty suggestion. We tried, but the skinnyness of the Wendigo's features lent itself better for the side profile novelty and the Bigfoot was just not great for that look. I wanted the R1 accent novelty to have some directional flow to it.

Now what I could and might do is duplicate the existing Bigfoot novelty as an accent R1 novelty. I wouldn't want to add two more, because the kit is already so beefy.

Ultimately what I want  personally is a Bigfoot r1 in that pale sickly green but I understand you need to pick the design direction you feel is best. To be clear I don’t consider this a deal breaker at all just giving the feedback that I think would make this set better for me personally. Maybe theres still hope for a Bigfoot Rama or something once you get to the collab phase. On that note not sure if the detail could be captured in a key cap but the classic Bigfoot walking silhouette might make for an excellent Rama. I also recognize the fact that we can’t always get what we want and this set is probably a day 1 for me regardless so this is the last I’ll be weighing in on this suggestion because I don’t want to beat a dead horse.



Other thing I forgot to mention in my first post. I also love that you went with epbt for this. I recently got my first epbt set and I have to say I really like the way it feels.

the green you chose looks terrific imo. and epbt puts this over the top, for me! i'm just wishing the spoopier alphas (dark) had operator keys for the num pad. as it is, to run a dark numpad we would need to buy spoopy base, spoopier alphas, and padlock. plus, as a macos user, i need the extra tools kit (which looks awesome).
