What is the recommendation for monitors these days? I know TP4 will have opinions on this.

I'm thinking of a 1440p OLED, but there's only one or two models that are 24". Everything else is 27". I'm not sure how much refresh rate matters above 144hz (what I currently have).

Also, I'm not sure if ultrawide would be a good idea. I currently have a triple monitor (all 16:9) setup on monitors arms, but I never use all three monitors for games (I tried it once out of curiosity, but the setup was annoying, and everything looked really bad because it was so stretched with peripheral things appearing too close).

This is what I'd get, but it is very suited to my specific uses of immersive solo gaming and movie watching:

Keyboards / Re: Help me find my next keyboard, please?

If you like the whites, you might want to take a look at the light blues for the switches. They are about halfway between a white and a Jade, with a slightly heavier clickbar but not as heavy a spring.

My personal choice for a Full-size type board has been Pylon's Boston for the last four year. I have two, one for home with the light blues and one at work with Hako True switches. They are ok for a tactile, but the light blues are my definite favorite, but maybe a bit loud for an open office setup. The only downside to the boston is going to be finding a suitable set of keycaps for the extra top row.

Well, Project Lifesupport is a full go. I officially have all the upgrades on the way, except for a main HD replacement.
Sabertooth z77/ 850W PSU/ a KILLER Noctua cpu cooler/ some case fan upgrades

Gonna do a full disassemble and deep clean including fans, replace some case cables, delid/move to new home/repaste the cpu, replace existing PSU that powers off when the cord jiggles

This rig just needs to last 1 more year or so

Hell, yeah.

I just stuck my 3770K system in a new case. I killed a RAM stick trying to fix the heat spreader, so I've ordered a cheap used pair to replace it. I need to change the cooler if I don't want to damage the RAM again.

Well, I'm an idiot and I ripped off a chip from one of my old DDR3 DIMMs trying to straighten the bent heat spreader. Luckily, I found an identical used set for under $20.

The new Zalman case for my old computer looks pretty nice. The only thing I don't like is the fans are rainbow RGB only - not configurable.

What is up with 40gbps ssd enclosures.

Why do most of them top out at 3.3Gbps, that's only 26gbps.

Great looking board, if I get one of my designs made, maybe it'll find a home on there.

Thank you so much!

Hi everyone, I just learned about this community after someone from Reddit pointed out. I'm still a noob and would like to delve more into the mechanical keyboard hobby. Looking forward to learning from you all, and maybe even contributing something useful down the line.

Keyboards / Re: Topre Realforce numpad key acting wonky

Yes, and not in a good way. When the APC is set to "green" (my default mode), all the keys work except numpad "." which sends ".+" as mentioned.

When APC is set to "red", the numpad "." only sends "." but then it is hard to produce a space with the spacebar.

When APC is is set to "blue", keys will register all on their own randomly.

Death Note has one of the worst and unbefitting endings of any anime. It's like they totally ran out of time and budget and hired a guest writer who's never seen the rest of the series.
