I meant physically putting the keyboard together.  The diffuser on the front of the keyboard has some unidentifiable cutouts.

Oh, haha. You may be the one of the first to receive theirs. Mine isn't scheduled until the 15th. If it's like the BB then it attaches to the top of the case to some posts (on the BB it only fit perfectly in one orientation). Probably won't be any help but good luck sir and enjoy.

Since there doesnt appear to be a cut out on the bottom of the case, I think the custom cut of the bottom acrylic window is done to accommodate the PCB SMT components.

It was the same with the Octagon v2. The underside of the steel plate is pretty gnarly out of the box. The top should look fine, though, and the bottom can clean up pretty easily. Not sure why it's like that

On the underside or on the top of the plate? I can see laser burn marks on the bottom of the plate that's not brush finished.

Speaking of steel plate. I have a scratch on mine. Probably not worth it to get a new one?

BTW don't use zeal stabs for spacebar, screws can't fit with the bottom acrylic. Also they cause at least one short (that I know of) on the PCB if you don't use some kind of plastic as spacers.

Nooo i've purchase zeal stabs already

You can still use them on the rest of the board, just not the spacebar. But do something about the shorts, i used teflon tape.

Badly Tried to drill 2 holes but 1 of them was too close to the edge and the acrylic broke into 2 pieces. Gonna rock the bottom acrylic-less for now and figure out a custom acrylic piece later. Or maybe a metal piece, not too much of a fan of the front underglow anyway.

I'm not a big fan of Under Glow either... Should we do an IC for Duck Viper/Eagle V2 Aluminum Diffuser?

I did stuff thru Ponoko before and it came out dope and wasn't expensive at all!  They also have a new-member special where you get the first $15 free or something which should be enough for replacement plastics.  I'll report back!

Doing god's work  Let me know how it turns out. I suggest skipping all the fancy cuts in the acrylic and just do a straight line where the pcb begins, to allow screw-in stabs and all.

We might be able to sand a little bit off the diffuser to make everything fit.  This really sucks.  I installed my Zeal stabs already to the PCB....

Well I have good news for anyone that wants/needs replacement light diffusers.  Duck was gracious enough to email me the CAD drawings.  He is such an awesome dude!
