Off Topic / Re: What do you eat? The thread about things you eat.

Saw a news article about a McDonald's boycott and thought, "Oh that sounds good, its been a few years"
and ya know what? It scratched that exact same itch it did 20 years ago. Quick, basic, delicious, and exactly what I expected.
Big Mac's still got it, but I swear the patties are slightly smaller now. Nuggies w/ sweet and sour dip, and McD's fries are still king straight out the fryer and dipped in a vanilla shake= perfection. Also special mention to the blueberry cream pie, my god so good.

The burger is nowhere near as good as a 5 Guys, but it is 1/3 the price.

Taste is there to prevent you from being poisoned, and seek out slightly higher caloric density AMONG foods.

But when NT is eating foods that are calorically DENSE, but nutritionally deficient.  He's locking in his heart attacks, his cancer, and his diabetus. The core is already there, as part of Cultural-Momentum, he doesn't know better, his daddy didn't know better, his daddy's daddy didn't know any better, burger fries, burger fries, it's a generational malady. Just a matter of time before a major debility sets in.

No amount of exercise erases arterial plaque, resultant of high blood friction, and damaged vessel endothelium.

This is why we see marathon runners drop dead of heart attacks. They look thin and fit on the outside, but they cut them open, 90% clogging in the widow maker zones of the heart.

Nope, only people eating a SAD (standard american Diet).

All known blue zones, (high centinarian regions) of the world unanimously eat differently, whereby 80-90% of calories come from Complex Carbohydrates/ Whole plant-foods.

I can't really stand KiCad either.
Have you tried LbrePCB? It is supposed to have a more conventional user interface.

I have not yet.

Is it just a fact of life that once a human reaches a certain age they begin developing aches and pains in their bodies that never go away?
Does every older adult simply have constant 24/7 pains in their bodies they just learn to live with and work around?

Working now. I am not going that route because that isn't what I want. The case isn't going to be plastic. All aluminum.  This breakout board is how I want to secure it.

I have been working industrial construction and maintenance since 2007, I understand how to hold things down.

Keyboards / Vintage keyboard- not working
« Last post by jcoffin1981 on Fri, 04 July 2025, 14:56:06 »
An associate of mine knows that I am a keyboard aficionado and gifted me a Dell AT101W that he had lying around.  It worked when last used a long time ago.  It requires a PS2 connection so I purchased an adapter, but even with the adapter Windows does not recognize that a device is plugged in.  I don't know if the board is dead, if it's a driver issue, or maybe an issue with the adapter.  It's possible Windows is very fickle about the adapter used or it is defective.

I'd like to use the board for a bit but am not really crazy about the switches used.  I will probably end up selling it for parts or as pre-owned if I can get it to work.  I'd like to have someone else enjoy it instead of it becoming E-waste.

Unfortunately, I get a message "Forbidden" when I try to post an image.
