30 days?  6 months?  A Lifetime Warranty, perhaps?

I suspect there are also manufacturers who offer a warranty that lasts approximately as long as it takes to break the seal on the box (ask me how I learned about that).  And I imagine there are quite a few more of these manufacturers at present than there are of the Lifetime Warranty sort.

However, the length of a typical warranty in 2026 is a mystery to me.  I am hoping a few replies might help give an idea of how things are.

Looking forward to seeing how the project develops and what the final version ends up looking like.

It's a great idea to keep free weights in your computer room. I crank out random sets all day while watching whatever on my comp.
It takes about 90 seconds to do a quick 30 reps with an ez bar or whatever, before you know it you have knocked out 150 reps for the day.

Ok, so the pre-built AAKBD with Vial Configurability firmware is now available on GitHub.

The GitHub page has details and the AAKBD Vial README has even more, but TL;DR:

Almost all Vial/QMK features supported, you should not notice much of a difference, you can flash the firmware in exactly the same way, etc. In addition to that, you will get:

• More layers
• Real Apple Fn / Globe key support
• Activating layers automatically based on which operating system the host computer runs
• Extra read-only layers (use them if you want, otherwise ignore – they are free extra layers you can use but don't have to, they take no slots away from your own layers)
• Override Num Lock / Caps Lock / Scroll Lock LED state based on which layer is active (e.g., for simulated Num Lock, or just to indicate some special layer is active by lighting something like Scroll Lock LED)
• Persistent and improved capsense matrix calibration, debug output for it, faster capsense matrix scanning
• PS/2 output, requires hardware mod
