[IC] Infinikey PBT WoB/BoW Standard
« on: Fri, 01 November 2019, 14:13:15 »
Hey guys, TheKeyCompany here again!

Here are our two newest product launches from Infinikey, we took your feedback from our original katakana run and decided we wanted something a bit more minimal that fit the tastes of the community as a whole while also keeping with the classical colorways you guys use as a benchmark and lovingly place on every board you purchase and create. This set is Cherry profile and made of PBT plastic with crisp dye-sublimation.

Infinikey Black on White

(Notice, this is all one kit, just separated for Clarity)

Infinikey White on Black

Infinikey White on Black Apple

Infinikey Black on White Apple

(Notice, this is all one kit, just separated for Clarity)

With infinikey, our main goal was to create an affordable, easy to attain PBT set that doesn't lack in colors with as little warping as possible, as well as containing the most amount of compatibility in a smaller package, below is our list of what comes with our set.

- Included Alice Support (additional B key in base kit as well as multiple spacebar options)

- SEPARATED scoop and bar alphas for those that did not enjoy the caps that tried to meet the best of both worlds and ended up just falling short.

- Included ISO, specialties, MAC and Ortho/40’s support.

Any feedback is welcome so we can make sure to provide you with the best set possible.

Kindest Regards,
TheKeyCompany Team

I think my only issue with the photos I've seen is that the black doesn't come out as black, more of a dark grey.

I wanted a katakana set for my black Thermal, but decided against it for that reason.

Has the dye process been modified to ensure a truly black color? Or is it just a limitation of the process that they won’t be dark enough to match a truly black board?

Regardless, I think this is a great idea and I could have used a BoW kit like this for my white Grid 600! Ended up getting some okay caps from Aliexpress, but would have preferred this set. I might upgrade to these even!

Can we get a wasrmish WS1 white for this? The white for the katakana set was more grey-white.

Bar homing while not on the illustrator file will be there. We'll see about windowed keys but that will require a new mold to be made ^_^

Huge possibility for icon mods as a future add-on kit after we ensure we get the proper colors on these sets.

Hey! We're actually trying really hard to ensure the blacks come out much blacker compared to the Katakana Sets, this was just the erroneous ways of a first run and we're gonna see about getting it as dark as possible, obviously we won't be able to get to ABS level black but we're aiming for darker than past sets.

I personally don't think photos do our katakana set much justice, it's a very nice looking set IRL but we're gonna hard focus on getting this set as DARK as possible. We're heading to the manufacturer as we speak to have this conversation and any feedback is important!

I'm almost certainly going to pick up a set, but a couple of things could lead to multiple purchases.

An extended colevrak add-on kit is one of those things, the typist kit in recent mt3 kits on drop.com for example.

Is it possible to add a second R4 1u shift and a second R3 1.25u key (of any kind) to the set? I want them for my katana60 boards ;)

Either way, good luck with this. It's about time we got more PBT sets. GMK caps are good and all, but the shine is immediate, very real and irreversible.

And PBT caps just sound better...

Hey Man!

we can certainly look into Colevrak with enough demand, the MOQ of this factory is quite high though so we'd have to make sure we don't increase the price to unbearable levels and if we did a seperate typist kit  you'd probably be looking at another 60-70$ price tag (I'm spitballing here cause I don't have quotes in front of me)

Is the black actually black, or is it more grey?  I'm looking to get a set because I ordered a black wilba.tech thermal, and I prefer the feel of PBT over ABS, but I also want it to look good and match.

This IC should offer a Norde set. If it is really competing with OG double shots that already have offered it in classic colors like this.

One more thing: Is that 6u bar the actual off centered? Or just a centered one knock off?

Couple quick comments:

- The ISO group is missing the R3 \| key (required for English (USA) over ANSISO or ISO); bonus points if an R4 <> key is added as well.
- For that matter, if ISO is going to be about English (UK), the AltGr keys should be present, too.
- I dig that the numpad has two options for the = sign. That said, I miss the numpad comma.
- I understand that F13 should remain in the Non-Standard group. But... wouldn't F14 and F15 be better off in the Mac group?

Interested, specifically in WOB, I don't know what these sets usually go for, but if its affordable enough I'd like both BOW and WOB. Is  there a way to follow this outside of geekhack (like a discord?) find it easier to follow developments there.

Apologies if I came off as brash. Set looks good. Waiting patiently for a PBT set with Nordic legends. Hoping the demand will be there in the next couple of years at least. :)

I am super in to the non apple versions of WoB and BoW. But please put R3/R4 PgDn/PgUp in the non standard kits please.

But yeah I'm in for two sets if this goes to GB.

Hopefully the white can be in the neighborhood of minimal. ePBTs BoW didn't look amazing next to some of the GMK BoW sets.

As someone who enjoys full icon mod sets I'll definitely need to pick up one of the Apple kits.

Out of curiosity, why did you go with an X instead of using the actual escape (⎋) symbol? Backspace is using the back-tab symbol (⇤) instead of commonly used backspace symbols like (⌫) or (⟵) but that's not necessarily a big deal. Up arrow and 1u Control keys might get confusing also, though if they look the same then that might make them a bit more universal in usage and could potentially help reduce the number of keys needed in the kit.

Sweet looking BoW set. Next keyboard will definitely be e-white now. Makes me wish I ordered the Polaris in white. It would be cool if there was a stepped control.
