I get it's for protection of the designers when color matching, but seeing a sample keycap on top of a chip when in that phase puts a lot of ease on me, and hopefully others. Forcing customers to rely on the colors matching the renders (which, according to designers, can vary because of monitors) doesn't seem like an honest and transparent way to go about it.
