Ever since I was young, exploring abandoned buildings and structures has been of great interest to me.
Trying to answer questions like: What was this built for? Why was it abandoned? How long has it been since it was last inhabited?
I wanted to use this to bring a unique set to the community. Welcome to KAT Overgrown.

Base Kits

This may seem unusual for KAT profile, but I want to provide a base kit option with 2 of my favorite color combos.
This kit will cover the most common layouts out there. It should also cut down on the price for those who just
want the keycaps they need to cover these layouts.

Project Updates:
4/15/21
I have received my color samples and checked them for accuracy. The color combos look wonderful in person. I'm going to work with the manufacturer to tweak some of the colors to more accurately match the pantones.

Here are the samples (BoW keycap for reference)
Note that the pantone codes printed on the rust and light green cap are flip-flopped.





I will request new samples in a few weeks after novelties are finished up. Thank you all for the support and interest you have shown so far! More to come soon...tm

It's been a hot minute since my last update so here's one:

Novelties and deskmat designs took a little bit longer than planned, but they will be finished and posted up soon(tm). Group buy date as been confirmed with my vendors. Potential for more vendors to come onboard with the set. More color samples have been requested from Keyreative. India vendor added.

Love the intro and structuring of this, very well done jimmy. One caveat I have is to shift the base kits to show up at the top of kitting, since probably many will buy it instead, and I’m sure you had it with the intention of making kitting simpler for some, so why not save them the confusion of KAT Kitting by letting them see what they want first.

Might be worth trying out KAT for the first time for this set, looks good, love the green/grey

This is like 4 different sets.
And not in the "you've got too many kits here" kind of way. While I think I understand what you're going for, there's just no cohesion and an unnecessary number of colors to get the point across.
Start by losing anything with orange in it and go from there. Really this could be achieved with half as many colors.

The gray kits are stunning, and might be the first true timeless color I’ve seen for KAT. Which is great because it helps validate the profile (many beautiful color ways out there for KAT, but they all feel less timeless). GLWIC

This theme is so freakin cool, you can almost look at the sets and see the transition over time from  construction, to abandoned and rusted and finally on to overgrown with green vegetation. Amazing! GLWIC!

I've been waiting for a sensible KAT set to come along ever since I picked up a set of KAT Blanks on the cheap and discovered I loved the profile.  I will definitely pick up the Constructed set and the Accent kit once this goes live. 

The one thing I wish this set had was one or two 3u space bars but I don't know where you'd end up putting them with the way you've done the kitting.  Good luck with the IC.

Hey Ash! If you want to cover UK ISO, you can skip the base kit and just buy an alphas kit and a mods of your color choice. You at least won't have to buy a separate ISO kit. SHOULD make the price lower with integrating it into the alphas and mods.

That is to remove the extra contrasting keys from the Constructed and Abandoned numpad kits so the have the same cap count as the reclaimed kit and thus, presumably, the same price. This does mean that peeps that want Constructed or Abandoned numpads with Reclaimed "mods" would need to buy two kits, but that would also be the case if someone wanted Constructed with Abandoned mods, Abandoned with Constructed mods, or Reclaimed with either Constructed or Abandoned mods.
