Hi! So Dandy is coming back for a second round. When R1 ran, the hobby was a completely different place. You will probably notice quite a few changes for this round. First and foremost, no second base, just going green. Going R5 and text+icon. Had to make some big cuts sadly, but I'm hoping you'll love and support it just the same.

*Side note - Board renders are done up by me, so please do forgive any inconsistencies and do remember these are images, colors and such can vary a bit from screen to screen and all that dandy jazz. I don't know how to set up kit renders yet, and used some models I had from GMK Hooty for the board renders. Kit renders will be updated asap. So this is mainly a quick and basic hey, Dandy R2 incoming!

Nice to see 1.5u supers this time. Gonna have to grab this again.
If only it was easy to get a tiny kit to fix that for r1.

Using Terminal ISO would be more consistent with other recent sets.

Hi Sour, can we please have terminal ISO instead of double pipe? This makes more sense for ISO users. I've attached an image showing what I mean.

Also please consider adding split numpad plus and 1800 support in form of 1u numpad zero, R1 Page Down and R1 End. I'm also not aware of any layouts that would require 2x1u Control, maybe that's redundant?

Regarding some of the changes, R5, and text+icon. Want there to be a bit of a difference between the rounds, and of course, everyone is allowed their own opinions, I really prefer text+icon, specially on bigger keys like 2.75u shift. I also really like R5, I really wanted to do these two things for this round, which is kind of a smaller round than the first anyway. Maybe if I can run something closer to original later on, will bring back things like icon and R4

I'm in either way but I fell in love with the 1.25u novelties that replaced the Super keys and the other novs that came with R1.  Icons looked much cleaner too.  R5 is a unique change that I can get onboard with but really going to miss those novs that came with the R1 Daisy base.

The design of Dandy R2 is just exquisite. The decision to go with R5 and text+icon is a bold move, but I think it really adds to the uniqueness of the keyboard.

If you're talking about the "Daisy" base set I saw it in stock not too long ago, so that's probably why.
Not sure if you can still find it in stock, but clearly it wasn't very popular.

In the first round "Dandy" was the light base, "Daisy" the dark one. Actual orders (not including extras) were evenly split between the two.

Looking at the original vendors today, only zFrontier has Dandy base (light) extras, and only from their Chinese website. None of them have Daisy base (dark) extras.

looks like dvorcol cleared things about in regards to the product names
but ya i wish i had seen that in-stock unit! every time i went through all the vendors pages there were never any available so i figured i was just a lil too late to get any extras
i personally love the green legends and wish more keycap sets had uniquely colored legends similar to it
when i first saw the dandy keycaps on the mode tempo in one of alexotos videos i was immediately obsessed

ill keep checking the vendors to see if there happens to be a random stray unit out there but
heres to hoping sourmk opens up to the idea of doing an r2 for the cream at a later date

Running 2 base kits at the moment, simply, is not possible. Originally the set in R1, was set to only be the cream base, but was lucky enough to run both bases, and I ended up preferring the green one. So green was the one selected to be run this round, I've seen and heard a few people might be interested in cream re-running, so maybe, possibly, I can try to make something happen with it later on, no promises or anything, but will see how things go for this set, and decide after

Otherwise, sorry for delays in getting this going (that's on me, dealing with some personal stuff). Putting the bow on some final details though, and we go in April. Kit renders are in the oven, base has seen some suggested updates, nostyle is currently working on them, and will be updated very soon.

Love the R5. Good assortment of mod sizes.  I would be all in for a separate alpha kit to mix with my ortho/ergo mods, but still considering the base anyway.

This novelty set would be cool as mods on Planck/Preonic/Boardwalk.

Any chance of including a 2x2u spacebar and/or 2x1u spacebar to the spacebar pack?
