Meet Dino Jungle!

Dino Jungle is a dinosaur inspired set dedicated to my son.



As of three years ago my son has been really into dinosaurs. We’ve decorated his room, played with tons of toys, and even been to dinosaur exhibits. I’ve been wanting to make something for him for quite a while. So when the GMK Design Contest was announced I knew that I had to explore this idea. After showing him the set he asked me if he can have a Dino keyboard. Thus GMK CYL Dino Jungle was born.

Why Neue legends and why full text mods?:

To be honest I just enjoy how they look. I think they're really clean and I want to support GMK's new legend system. I opted for full text mods on this set since technically dinosaurs are from millions of years ago so they wouldn't have had icons back then? I also haven't designed anything with full text mods yet so felt now was the time! Idk makes sense in my mind.


Specs:

- CYL Profile: ABS plastic, double-shot keycaps manufactured by GMK | GMK Neue Legends | Double-shot / UV print novelties
- Colors: Custom colors.

Timeline/updates:

- Color matching: Sample colors submitted for sampling.
- IC Phase: Currently gauging IC on the set. Once we can roughly hit MOQ we can get things moving.
Updates 8/5/26:
- Novelty Updates: Added in a Pterodactyl novelty and some plant novelties. Also currently reworking some of the designs based on feedback from
GMK regarding restrictions with the double-shot process.
 So I will update the novelties once I have the approved files.
We are at roughly 170 IC Form submissions, once we get closer to 250 we should be able to gain traction with vendors.
However I have confirmed KBDFans as a regional vendor!

I don't see the appeal of Neue legends at all, neither text or icons they both look horrible.

Totally fair. Just as you don't like them there are also people who do, so much preference in the space. I happen to be in the camp that thinks they look great! Appreciate the feedback! I also ran a poll in the GMK server about this on my ic forum there and the vote ended with Neue as the winner. So I'll keep them on this project since majority seemed to prefer it.

As someone who has was also afflicted by the dinosaur obsession as a child this is amazing and the ISO enter novelty is insane. Typing on this would absolutely have me feeling like a kid again. GLWIC, hope to see this again in the GB phase.

Hey guys! Added some updates. We're getting closer to making this a reality. So far we have KBDfans on board as a regional vendor and I am reworking some novelties after feedback from GMK. I'll add those updated designs once I have them. Speaking of novelties, we added some plant based novelties and a new pterodactyl novelty. I also got back some new renders from Wired In so I added those as well. I hope you're all doing well and I appreciate all of the support so far! Also so far Int, 40's, and Numpad kits are around 15-20 submissions, to make these come to life we will need to get those numbers closer to 50. If you're part of those communities lets up those numbers!
