Okay that's great but I am kind of confused on what to do. Obviously I am new to mechanical keyboard and I just received my first mechanical keyboard (Filco Brown Tenkeyless) couple days ago. Now, I don't know which one I am supposed to order to fit for my keyboard. Also, If I want the blank orange keys which one do i order? BTW are you planning to make any yellow blank keys? That will look so nice with my keyboard!

yellow blank keys are not in the list. Might be in stock. Look at the first post to find the stock lists. DCS is the key family which comes closest to Filco and Cherry key caps.

It is too late right now. I will send you the update tomorrow.

All I can tell you now is that the key caps will be a bit cheaper, so you can order some more!!!
[===========>.............................. 17% done .................................................]

There will be a definite deadline when we will place the final order:
23 March 2011.

As far as I know, rpoduction will begin quite soon after that date, so I was not joking when I said that this will have priority over low quantitiy group buys. I will ask for the exact dates.

You will have time to get your SVG-s ready, but I can't help you with these. I think some of you became quite capable of doing SVGs and also got it right with the requirements, so I think you can organise this alone.

Thanks everybody who helped to make this possible!

PBT and ABS refer to the material of the key caps, they come in different colors, some colors are exclusive to ABS and others to PBT.

Size for the modifier keys?

7-bit,

I voted for Commodore and you have sent me my net updated vote to include this.  I dont see Commodore as an option in the list on page 1.  Does this mean noone else can vote for it for this order or is there going to be a seperate order for this key (and others)

Oh, that's because modern keyboards all have sculpted profile, therefore, for instance, the keys in the QWERTY row have a taller/deeper keycap profile than the ASDF row.

The Signature plastics' DCS profile has 4 rows,

row 1= F1~F12 row and numeric row
row 2= QWERTY row
row 3=ASDF row
row 4= ZXCV row and CTRL/ALT/Space row.

These are key row profiles. Filco keys are along the bottom.  From left to right, the profile numbers that correspond to the ones that SP uses would be 1,1,2,3,4,4.  Below is a breakdown of what key types you need and how many.  If it looks like you can't make a full set from the inventory lists, then you probably can't.  Theres no guarantee that they have enough pieces in the same color to make a full 104 keyset.  Good luck.

EDIT: Tripication of pic removed.... see above

Quote from: digitalleftovers;302823
OK!  Using the sizes that 7bit posted on the previous thread page, I came up with the following counts based on these criteria:
1. Filco/Ducky use DCS Profile
2. In DCS profile, F-key row and num row are the same (Row 1)
3. Shift key row and space/modifier row are the same (Row 4)
4. This list is for ANSI 104 (single row return key)

Given those specifications, here are my totals separated by row profile (size [units]:[quantity])

Totals by size:
Row 1
Size 1: 36
Size 2: 1

Row 2
Size 1: 18
Size 1.5: 2
Size 2 vertical: 1

Row 3
Size 1: 14
Size 1.75: 1
Size 2.25: 1

Row 4
Size 1: 18
Size 1.25: 7
Size 2: 1
Size 2.25: 1
Size 2.75: 1
Size 2 vertical: 1

The space bar size for your keyboard will be 6.25 units.  Also, make sure you get the correct enter key type.
Keyboards:
Filco 104 MX Brown (Otaku) - FKBN104M/NPEK 黒い空
Ducky TKL MX Brown/Blue 80% (White) - 1087-F 白の空

ya of course, Filco's are the standard!

beware though, DCS keys have a overall lower profile than stock Filco keys, so if you going to mix the two on your keyboard you'll notice some unevenness.

It's fine as long as you don't have them mixed in the same row/function area,

for example I have low profiles keys at the alphanumeric area, but stock Filco keys for modifiers on one of my keyboard, and it doesn't really bother me at all. But if you have DCS profiel on say, QWE, and Filco profile on RTY, then it could be a problem.

Sorry for asking, but even after reading the explanations I'm still quite confused. If I just want to get some blank keycaps and send a PM that looks like this:

WHITEBLANK 1
ORANGEBLANK 1
REDBLANK 1

will that be correct? Do I need to add the STANDARD 1 in at the beginning?

you need the XXXBLANK kit as well as the XXXMOD kit for each color.  That will cover all 104 keys (including space)

the standard kit is only if you want to get in on the printed black/dolch key cap set

Is it so that those who pay later gets stuff cheaper? Not that it makes difference to me, but it seems to be little unfair that those who has paid early has to pay more on same stuff or have I misunderstood something?

I'm pretty sure that it doesn't matter when you paid; everyone's prices will adjust with the demand.  It just may be that people who paid earlier could get money back or some credit for more key caps.

7, is that right?

I'm pretty sure that it doesn't matter when you paid; everyone's prices will adjust with the demand.  It just may be that people who paid earlier could get money back or some credit for more key caps.

7, is that right?

I could do few more key caps :) Any comments 7bit :attention:

7bit, I wanted some text-only keys in Soarer's FIVEDOWN thread, but you might've missed it. I am after 25 of size 1 row 1 and 25 of size 1.25 row 4.
Are those the colors for ABS / double shot?
If the offer is still valid, I will place here my order.

Get another ES kit!

I absolutely forgot about it since I only have US Layout Cherry based keyboards buuut Bruce told us that he may have Filco MX Red ISO Layout. Maybe I shouldn't pass this chance to get a set that matches all keybaords I can have.

BTW I don't see what keycaps contain the ES kit. At the first post you show UK, Nordic and FR but no ES telling what it contains nor any pic.

Anyway I'm a bit worried since ordering more and more keycaps will supose having them sent in 2 boxes but that scare me a bit since 2 boxes mean 2 chances of getting them lost. Maybe I'm a bit paranoid too :lalala:

If I have to order 2 boxes I will be obliged to order another Standar set for having them in the Filco and the Noppoo at same time so it must have some sense to have 2 keyboardlover keycaps too.... must resist but I can't!

Payment sent :) (again) - I think I've paid a little bit over the total due to the reduced prices, I wonder if those of us who paid earlier will get the difference back? I mean, it's only five bucks or so in my case, so I'm not too worried.

I did not manage to make a layout for it. Sorry!

Just look at Wikipedia and compare with the number of keys in the ES kit to see which keys will be included. If there must be mor keys, no problem, price might only change slightly, if at all!
