Do you know the minimum amount per payment and/or maximum number of separate payments that SP will tolerate?

Not yet.

Nevertheless:

These prices are final for ORANJE style (unless there are significantly more orders):
ORANJE/STANDARD $162
ORANJE/TKL $98

Sorry.

This isn't listed in the Round 4 Pricelist Wiki. How accurate is that list?

The price list was edited four days ago.
Price for SPH style has decreased since for sure : terminal kit now at $106, standard125 now at $83.
Can't really tell about the other styles.

Most prices have remained unchanged since though.

I've got to update it. But at the current quantities this is the price.

BLOOD will get up, too. I will send out an update to everybody.

Prices for SPH and ROUND3 style will not change. I've got to look into RETRO RGB keys once more.

What's the difference between SPH standard and standard125? I'm kinda confused with all these styles :<

Standard has more keys, whereas standard125 has only 1.25 modifiers.
Unless you have an old board without windows / linux / command keys, standard125 should do the trick, but standard can be adapted to more boards (useful if you buy more boards in the future and wish to reuse the caps).
You can look for yourself in the wiki if you want to make sure what the difference is between the two of them, just look at the images.

That gets my vote for the Official Theme Song of the ROUND FOUR Group Buy!  ;-P

Question: What is the profile of the SPH sets?  Is it the same for ROUND3?  (Indeed, what are the profiles for *all* of the sets in this GB?)  Is it Signature Plastics's "DCS family".  If not, won't it *not* fit properly on a Filco Majestouch 2 TenKeyLess?  (Never mind that DCS is not exactly what Filco delivers, nor what Cherry made.)

Question 2: Are the PIRATE keys still available?  What about Macintosh "command" and "option"?  In all styles or just some/one?

BLOOD is dead....thankfully through. No longer have to wait.
Maybe only 2-3 kits should be offered in the future. People will be more decisive and it could actually end.

Hah, I thought the same thing. I really wish the glider were in SPH (then I'd order more), but there isn't a black/white colour option for SPH, so it won't happen this GB.

Yea, I'm not too much a fan of the SPH set color but I am too curious to see whether I prefer spherical keys over cylindrical keys to miss out.

Hey guys,

please help me get the correct Order.
I've got a Filco with full german layout and blank caps. I would like to have doubleshots just for the number-row (if, of the size of some kits, i get some more keys it doesnt matter...), but don't know what to order.
The keys should be black/very dark, and the letters a little lighter than the key itself. The biggest question is: which kits should I order? The next ones would be: Which style and which color?

Best regards,
Simon

I'm kinda new to this whole GB thing but can someone explain to me why there are five million different combinations and how the hell anything will ever get made/sent out if everyone wants a my-keyboard-is-a-unique-snowflake set?  From a cost/manufacturing standpoint this just seems like a massive headache that you'd have to pay me a **** ton of money to even consider dealing with.

It seems to me that in trying to please everyone no one really gets anything.

It's the only way I can get my Dvorak set. I'm sick of using QWERTY keycaps all the time.

I have already made my selections, hence when it ever comes to handing over the money I would be extremely happy in doing so.

The money has been set aside so when ever 7bit gets organized with this R4 he'll get his payment.

Just remains how the payments will be accepted......... that will be the true revelation in this Group Buy.

This is a perpetual group buy.  Your grandchildren will be PM'ing 7bit_r4 for a Retro moogle kit.

To get the retro kit just buy a second hand Cherry board on ebay for $40.  Job done at a fraction of the cost!

I just made my own Filco+Cherry+R3 monster board.  I like it and it sounds nice to type on as well.

well, to get close to retro you'd need a wyse board. since that's what they were aiming for.. until SP screwed up the colors. and retro was born.

The last email I got shows this as my order-

DARK/SPACE     |6.25 units Filco/Cherry/Leopold|  2.00|  1|  1|  2.00
ORANJE/STANDARD|Standard  kit (101-104 keys)   |139.00|  1|137|139.00

Now I used to have

this also
DARK/WINDOWS125/ORANGE |Windows kit (2xflag, 1xmenu, 1.25 units)| 3.00|  1|  3| 3.00

Because I don't want the super or meta buttons, I want a windows key and a menu key, does this still exist somewhere because it seems to have been taken off my order.

Whats the difference between
SPH/TENKLESS 87
SPH/TKL 69

Why the big price difference? If I just order the $69 one does it have all the keys for a filco? And I'm assuming this is the one with gray keys and blue modifiers.

And can someone show me what to send in the order to get this set in TKL for a filco layout.

Please refer to The Oracle. She has all the answers you seek. :)

TKL kit has fewer keys, but still enough to cover a Filco TKL keyboard. There are graphics to show you what extra keys the TENKLESS contains.

What makes NOIR/STDSYM different than getting NOIR/STANDARD + NOIR/SYMBOLS? If I want the numbers + symbols for the numpad (i.e. 4 + left arrow, 7 + Home, etc.) which one do I get?

Hmmm...I saw that on the wiki and wasn't really sure if that was NOIR/STDSYM since the description says that it's basically a combination of 3 sets. I only really want the symbols for the numpad, and I want all the usual keys for everything else. I just wanted to make sure that I wouldn't lose the normal Caps Lock, Shift, etc. if I went with NOIR/STDSYM.

How long does it normally take to get the confirmation email?

Replies happen whenever 7bit manually runs his update script, i.e., sporadically.

All jokes aside is there any sort of hopeful realistic deadline on this group buy. Or are we still stuck with no way to take payments?

1. Useless posts. Do not bother making posts with only one or two words (e.g., "cool" or LOL) or a smilie, or post simply to have the first reply in a thread. Such posts waste everyone's time and will be deleted. Posts saying "I agree", "+1", "this", "me too", or the equivalent are also routinely removed, so don't post them. If you aren't interested in a thread, skip the thread; don't post to tell us you aren't interested.
2. Spam and overposting. Not just being a prolific poster, but posting the same exact post many times, posting multiple pointless posts in the same thread, making numerous posts with no real content, or posting for the purpose of gaining a higher post count.
Speaking of rules, Good job that was four words (not two) though your post is still useless. As far as point #2, how many times do you just reply with your "GLWIC" post? How many of your posts are identical. How does "In for post #3455!" contribute towards the main goal of the forum: to discuss computer input devices? When I have something off topic to say (like now) I try to make sure I have something helpful to contribute as well. Why don't you just make a topic in your subforum where you can post all your gripes with SP and interest checks, and Group Buys, and just post there when you have an issue?

Ripster: you're good with money, and in the US, right? I don't know who here trusts you, but if you want your fixed keys, why not organize the payment and money collection yourself? Griping about error keys constantly doesn't help, but you're in a position to do some good. It would also further your own goals.
---

As far as round4 goes, I sort of feel like if we can get a few things sorted out, then we can get collection, payment, and distribution on the road. I propose we come up with a roadmap of sorts, where we list in one place all the steps between where we are now, and when we get our keys, then people can figure out which ones (if any) they can help with, and we'd get this rolling in an organized fashion. For example:
1. we need someone to collect the money from GH/DT
2. need to pay SP
3. Need to tell SP what we ordered
4. Need to figure out who has fixed R3 keys at SP,, and keep track of that
5. Someone to receive keys from SP, and send out a box to the europe distributor
6. Distribute within US/europe
7. Handle any corrections/errors/mistakes/refunds that arise.

I don't know what else to add, or how to flesh it out, or even if it's the right process (I've never dealt directly with SP), but I think having a list of what steps are necessary to pull this off, is good. Then matching people to steps can take place, then everyone will be happy.

Let's get open & organized!

Supposing we have a person to collect the money, we gotta find PayPal alternatives. What are the available options (legally if possible :P) we have for person A to send money to person B (A and B very far apart in the world)?
