I think the new prices will spur enough interest to compensate for the people who have dropped out. Also since this is getting updated through email, hopefully people who have been inactive on GH will still get the message and come back for this. Regardless I wouldn't worry too much if the prices stay this low!

7bit, might want to start a new thread though. We're dealing with a whole new beast now and making people sort through 255+ pages of information that might no longer be relevant would be a pain. I say new thread once prices are officially confirmed and a end date is clear.

the offering list has changed 1500 times since you started the buy and the thread _literally_ has 8 _unsigned_ bits of pages. i think people have every right to be dubious about delivery.

suggestion: run one style at a time exactly like you proposed a page ago. coordinate with tsangan lysol and hashbaz on who will run the next full-set gb and set the design and offerings in stone before taking orders. give a concrete end-date, and the orders will roll in. alternatively, hand off the buys one by one and help work on a new automated ordering system that everyone can use (i can help, but only if it's not written in perl).

Yes, a new thread is definitely needed. When this gets "real", to quote ripster. Update all prices, kill the remaining useless stuff and start a new thread with upcoming price breaks (we all know geekhackers order more if they see them) and orders will come!

I think the chances to drop the price (in your example) for SPH/STANDARD125 even further are really high and would make the combination SPH/STANDARD125 + SPH/*lang* cheaper than SPH/STANDARD125FR is!

OK, I'm a little confused about something again.  I've kept up with a bunch of this thread but I know I've probably also missed some - hard to keep up.

I have a Filco TKL equipped with a set of keys from ROUND3 currently with a grey space bar.  I also have a Leopold TKL currently with stock keys.  I'm not sure if I'm going to bother with a full set of DS for the Leo or not, or whether I might move the keys around.  I do know that I want a couple of space bars.  I may want to move my R3's to the Leo.  I would like some spare space bars to swap them out when they get annoyingly shiny.

The R4 wiki says:

I think the wiki just needs to be updated. We initially weren't sure about whether we were going to get a "universal" spacebar that would work for both Filco and Leopold, but it's since been created and will be used as the normal SPACE in Round 4. Note that this spacebar works with the tenkeyless Leopold, but apparently the full sized one has a slightly different spacing for the mounts, so you're probably out of luck if you've got a full sized board.

Both boards are TKLs.  So I could just order

ROUND3/SPACE/GREY
ROUND3/SPACE/BLACK

and they'll both work on either board?  Nice.

Sounds OK to me… I don't subsidize your funny keys, and you don't subsidize mine.

(I would, however, like to be sure that I can get my funny keys before I order a bunch of TKLs and STANDARDs.)

Of course you CAN get your funny keys.  SP is in business to sell plastic for $$$.  Hell, any of us could, at any time, call up SP and order one TKL+funny keys for about $700, and call it good.  Funny Keys alone will probably run you $5-$10/ea, if memory serves me, and less if you get a mini-group of funny-keys buyers together.

These 2 are sufficient for quite a lot of keyboards:
RETRO/STANDARD
RETRO/SPACE

STANDARD contains all keys for 104 key keyboard and
SPACE is just the Filco/Ducky/Leopold/Cherry with winkeys/Phantom Win-space bar!
