There are times that I question if there is any good out there in the world. And then without any provocation people go and prove to me that there still are nice guys out there.

THANK YOU to both Halverson and Skcheng. I will never be able to explain how much a simple gesture can mean. <3

Haven't heard of them before, but I'm really liking this!

How did you come across the brand?

I've always worn Jack Purcell leather Converses because they make for great casual biking shoes and got a thin enough sole to double as driving shoes. These are really cool looking too and right up my alley in terms of design. :)
They were really popular in Europe in the early 90's. They're a bit like a more rugged version of Converse but with a different history. They were originally designed for the French legion and after it got marginalized after the 90's the brand relaunched in 2009. Never thought much of it until a few years ago when I bought a pair on sale for cheap. They have been a favorite of mine since. :)

Check online, I'm sure they have them in Canada as well. Perhaps they even have a physical store in one of the major cities.

Check my post in the GH Shoe thread for a few more pics. ;)

Thanks for giving me a heads up. Actually really like the pair you got, but couldn't find it in my size. The French legion is very cool - had no idea these were what they used!

No worries, look what I got in today!

Got the nasty seasonal flu but gonna try to get some use out of them tomorrow, walking around town and some evening biking. :)

Went with the darker boring subtle one so I won't feel too bad when I get them super dirty from the fun. :P
