They look so sad with the mouth turned down.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

My Realforce just came in. I only swapped few keys from my HHKBs to make it more Mac friendly looking.
Compared to HHKBs it feels smoother and springier, it's also obviously heavier and sturdier.
Sorry for the quality, it's just iPhone 5 camera in poor light :)

Damn, that's more than the price for the O-rings and the stabilizers combined. If my conversion is correct

There is so much awesomeness in this thread that I feel embarrassed to post my common stuffs  :-[ .

Got my package from wasd, and a notice for a failed delivery (probably the Portal 1.5 keys).

Above is the sample kit. I mainly wanted to test different o-rings and pretty much "test" how the different cherry switch felt out of curiosity.
The colored keycaps (not pictured) are kinda sh*t tho. I'm happy with my whites abs from wasd because they're really whites, but the red, orange and green from this test sample are kinda dull.

And here is my custom lasered keycap. It looks good enough for a key I paid 10$ for fun but it's clearly not as good looking as my "Zoidberg Of Disapproval".

Well, gotta try the o-rings now !

Getting switches and o-rings to test is just as awesome as anything else here!!

And so far today I've gotten a postal scale and should be getting a few other things!

Love the feeling of the blue, but I wish I could try typing on it before buying a keyboard with ones.

Will you be using the scale mainly for weighting keycaps before shipping, or is there another purpose ?

Yeah, I have only had to deal with customs once before.

The 18 euros they charged extra was 5 euros taxes (fair enough) , and 13 euros administration cost....

I just needed for a few different things actually! But yes it will come in handy if/when I ever sell anything to get a good idea on shipping cost.

Thank you.

No need for assassins.  I plan on making them until the supplies I have on hand go dry and am planning on selling some DIY kits to some people who have expressed interest for that.  The whole unemployed thing has had me looking for some different ways to make a little money.

Is it proper to call the one on the upper right 'faux' carbon fiber?

Yup.  They actually sell it as carbon fiber for the color name, though it's the same nylon/plastic sleeving that MDPC-X, Bitspower, ModDIY, Mod/Smart, etc use.  I also found some interesting colors on Taobao, but don't have the money on hand right now and am uncertain about the quality of the sleeving.

Wrap that rice up!

Those aren't for wrapping.  They're in tiny strips.

Actually they're made to be banchan (side dish) that's used to wrap around rice for bite size so you can do it with your chopsticks, but a lot of people eat them as snacks too (I do it too).
