the case is amazing, i cant believe how much difference it makes to the typing experience, the feel and the sound is totally different, and my keyboard may now weigh slightly more than me haha, for anyone on the fence about getting something like this, DO IT

Yeah I'm surprised I didn't mention this before. I'm not sure if it's the case, silicone pad, the angle of the case, or all three combined, but it feels and sounds so good to type on!!! Gratz Bunny :)

Now if only Prof would get off his goddamn duff and send me some mothereffing switches!!! :rage:

Hm, I thought the red was supposed to be like fire-engine red. This looks half way between pink and red and looks pretty weak.

It's a bad picture from my cell phone.  Definitely better in person.   I wouldn't call it fire engine red, though.  The red on my Cheat is def nicer.

You buy stuff of Zenuty and he uses food as packaging! :D
unless they have some unforeseeable downside (like they're actually made of cream cheese cunningly disguised as ABS)

Ducky Zero DK2108 - Cherry MX Blue

As I mentioned in an earlier thread. In ten minutes, I yanked the "=/+" switch's stem off along with the spring and white casing. Got to get a donor board and switch the switch.

Thanks a lot for the generous offer, but I am in India, and I doubt there are any locals, if there are, I would be happy to pay as well for a switch.

Also, I would request you not to waste money on shipping which would end up costing atleast 5-8 times the price of the one switch. Au contraire, I plan on getting a TVS Gold (~$24) which will donate 104 cherry mx blue switches, so if someone is interested an shipping isn't a bomb from here, I could ship some of these to them.

At last, a keyboard that has a Fn key but keeps the right Win key :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I finally have a keyboard! Since my last purchase didn't end up going through I've been using the standard bluetooth keyboard that comes with new macs. As far as non-mechanical setups go, I probably prefer Apple's scissor switches best, but still. Also I couldn't game until I got something my PC could recognize. SO.

Keycool 84 w/ "yellow" LED
(TBH, it's pretty much orange, but I'm not that upset about it)

A little bit thicker at the bottom by my wrists than expected and feels more solid than the Max Nighthawk 8 that I moved to the cubicle. Buuut that just gives me an excuse to get a nice new wrist rest. XD

Got a used Filco Majestouch-2 TKL with MX Blues for my Jailhouse Blues project!  Got 2 keyboards to work on now for the total of 3, as soon as round2 of Universal replacement plates goes out :)  I actually have candidates for all 3 of my keyboard (Copper one for my OH and I could probably use 2 myself :) )

A TG3 keyboard and PS/2-USB adapter.  Pics to follow, as it is a bit late, but it looks and works just fine.  I took out the rubber membrane for obvious reasons, which unfortunately cost me a broken F12 stem and a temporary loss of the touchpad, but both can be rectified.   Backlight looks great!

Monoprice 104-key w/MX Blues.

My first keyboard with Blues, not really sure I like them, but I'll give them a trial.  Coming from buckling springs/MX Greens/MX Whites/MX Clears, the lighter key feel takes a bit of getting used to!

Surprised at the quality of the Monoprice board, btw.  For $50.95 shipped (thanks to the Great Finds!) I was expecting a pretty crappy keyboard.  It's very solid, shiny top case like the Das, little or no flex to the board at all.

Finally got my FC660M! This is my first mechanical keyboard. Trying to get used to the different feel. It is really hard not to bottom out on the Reds

I will never understand the 660's layout. Of all the keys from the six-pack to include, why include the one that is actively detrimental. I've never in my life hit Insert on purpose.

INS* used to be sit function in an MMORPG called Ragnarok Online. I used to hit it all the time.. But I heard in SC2, it's a button for a hack program, I think.

They were on sale so I thought "what the heck let's buy them". But the shipping + customs made me pay almost +50% of the whole product...
If you're ever able to play it, go for it, it has a better story than the first one and more stuffs/mechanisms.  ^-^

Mode switch in VIM.  I use those two keys all the time.

I like keyboards and case modding.  Everything about a computer should be silent -- except the KEYBOARD!
