Yes they are perfectly smooth. They blow "vintage" blacks out of the water, even when they're lubed. Nixdorfs stock feel perfectly smooth, and I found that lubing them didn't improve the feel. If anything it made them feel worse.

ok, seems like I have to keep my eyes open for them...

I bought a g80-1501had with vintage blacks that arrived today and I already thought it couldn't get better then that.

I'm not sure who AKIMbO is but I thank you also, just seen these and they look great not a gun type, but they look very cool so Im most likely getting one :) Also esoomenona, or JD would you say these might frey around the edge or would I need to crack out the sewing machine?

Lubed blacks come very close

It's a point of sale keyboard with 142 keys that I bought off of Ebay for $70 delivered. It is simply to satisfy my desire for moving keys around.

Last week I received the White Carbon Filco and today I received the HHKB. Now I need to find some nice colored blanks for the HHKB!

Edit: Before anyone asks, the alphas on the black Filco are from a Gabriele 7007L typewriter.
