Hahaha, I knew at least you would like it! I'll be starting a thread in making stuff together as soon as I start going. It's a Shapeoko 3 (I pre-ordered the sucker in March and got it in July) and let me tell you this sucker is
rigid for a hobby grade cnc. The aluminum extrusions are pretty darn impressive and the important bits are steel so it should be good. I know matt3o picked up a chinese 3040 last year and had some good success with it, and this should flex quite a bit less than his and stock has a square 16"x16" cutting area. If I use it enough I'll also look into upgrading the cutting area.
I just finished tensioning my belts last night, so all that's left is to hello world the sucker (drawing with a sharpie), and then calibrate for belt stretch.
