I won DAVYtm's giveaway and got this stuff today. The switch tester will get some use from some friends of mine looking for mechs (I wanted to try greens too), and the pumpkin is going to a good friend of mine. First SnacKey for me, and it just so happens to be purple.  :thumb: Thanks again DAVYtm.

I've only used it for maybe 30 minutes now but it's nice. This is going to be my gaming board so it has the KBT Browns in it. They feel very similar to Cherry MX Browns. The KBT switches are Greetech and not Gaterons like originally believed. The RGB options are fairly standard and include per-key setting, breathing, raindrop mode, and reactive mode.

Livingspeedbump has a pretty good review: https://www.keychatter.com/2015/12/30/review-mechanicalkeyboards-com-disco/.

Yeah, Greetech switches. Actually feel pretty nice, I've had mine around the office the last few days and used it. Definitely feel better than cherry browns.

The lighting is pretty alright too. On par with Ducky lighting, not as good as far as programming and options go when compared to something like Corsair, but in the end better due to not having to use any broken *** software. A steal for the price they have it at right now for sure.

I recently got better solder and a brass cleaner, wow it makes a huge difference
You see that blue round case? I've been told that it's the best cleaner

It's a gel and you dip it every so often

I've been think I to get a hakko but still not sure if its worth it, I mean I only solder two to three keyboards a year, and I don't plan to add more this year :(

Nice nice, thanks for the info & a good read that review is! I've tried Greetech Reds & they felt better than their Cherry counterpart as well.

That's so cool.  8)  Reminds me of the Voltrons we have in their original boxes that would break apart into individual lions and/or vehicles.

I wish I kept my original Voltron :(

My mom sold it in a garage sale...
That really sucks!  We kept my mom away from all our stuff for that same reason...

Im still fairly new to the hole artisan keycap thing, but it is a bit weird to me, i mean i like having a unique couple of keys for my keyboard, but what i dont understand is the the price they go for on ebay or reddit....  The original price for a lot of these keys seem reasonable to me. But i guess its supply and demand..  But i do really want to get into making my own custom keycaps for myself.
