so the good news about the recent sherry/gmk drama is that I finally got MOQ and pricing.

400 sets at ~$80 plus shipping and what not. the question is now, as we're at approximately half that, do we change into a gmk order, include Dt and any other forum/business interested or just keep it through sp?

What does the GMK set include?

Edit: Regardless, I think my vote is stick with SP. Who knows how long it would take to get to the 400 moq?

from what I can find, it looks like we would have to choose a set color (ex: row input/wor mods) and it would be for a full 104key set.

If the price isn't going to go down any further, can i just send you the payment now so that i don't have to worry about doing it in the future?

for what you're ordering, pricing doesn't have much left to change so I'll invoice you when I get to a real pc

Interesting. I think gmk would produce better quality caps (thick abs) and also with the cherry font it makes it much more appealing. However since following this thread the prices have been looking amazing! There are currently 322 base sets being ordered. Does the moq of 400 count include the different options? like WOR and ROW? or is it like a mix of ROW with WOR modifiers? and does the price include tsangan/iso/numpad?

I didn't realize numbers were as high as this, but I'm for keeping with sp as well. I figured I should give out the full option list, however.

TJ, I think you're running the biggest GB in GH history. R4 notwithstanding, as 7bit primarily operates on DT, and it stalled and started for over a year now. Probably better not to change manufacturers for the 1st time with such an immense buy.

It also seems to be quite sensible to stay with the same manufacturer and not just jump to another ship that way.

Like I said, I'm here for the people and not to push my own agenda/desires as the community's.  That's why I floated it as an option.  I want my new caps, too.  When I first made the interest check back in November, it was intended to get 30-50 WoR base sets to match existing RA2.0 mods and through everyone's voice, it's succeeded on a level I couldn't have thought to have expected. 

Point being, thank you and as always I hear your voice.  Expect invoices galore starting Feb 2 for this frankly baller set from SP.

While I'm looking forward to getting my keys, and I don't really want to rush people, too many GB's have sputtered and ground to a halt because of last minute (at the time) changes. You have a plan, you know it's doable and it's what people agreed to, stick to it and get it done.

Options are good, unless it's being handled by committee, then you end up with a duck-billed platypus or nothing at all.

My vote is to stick with SP... I also have a set of WoR mods that need a base.. =)

I also think that staying with SP is the better idea.  These prices are great--especially for people who are already planning ahead to also shell out for GMK sets.

Count updated, the only thing in danger of not getting ordered is RoG base kits and I'll be contacting Melissa once orders are complete to get:

1. a final invoice
2. any kind of price help on the items that didn't make the tier for 50 orders (ISO, RoG base and tsangan, and WoR 17key). 
3. ISO color variations.  What I mean by that is that I want to see if they will either give me all three colors for each of the 30 people that want ISO kits or if they'll at least let me order 30 total of whatever individual color those 30 want personally (meaning they get to pick their own color instead of the popular vote, which is now WoR)

You might get hit by customs charges - sometimes we do in the UK and sometimes we don't.  If it gets noticed and if the package is over a certain value we get charged VAT at 20% + £8 'handling charge', if it doesn't get noticed we run around happily and then go to the pub with the savings

For the first time in a while, I'm at a real keyboard so I'm sending her an email as we speak to see if she'll hook me up on RoG everything that's not at 50 orders.

I'm hoping, considering the size of the order, that we can get breaks on RoG tsangan and base kits.  I asked if we could have those priced at the 50 unit tier, which seems fair.  I also asked if I could mix and match the 30 ISO sets so that everyone could get the color they want without having to have a MoQ of 10 on each color.

WoG? What is this White on Grey you speak of? For the RoG, it's a Grey spacebar, and for RoW, it's a White spacebar.
