I should clarify

Where can I get one unassembled and with a full metal case like dans:  http://dangwang.wordpress.com/2012/11/16/420-reviews-lz-mx-mini-by-lifezone/

AFAIK, there isnt one for sale in any of the classifieds at the moment. Since it was made by Redline/Lifezone, you could try contacting one of them through PMs, email, or on their website.

How do you find about KBT Pure pro layout?
I am thinking buying it because i cannot use my Poker 2 anymore, not dedicated arrows make me sick lol
But Pure pro has very strange layout to me:
- small shift keys
- small backspace
- small spacebar

last question: my former Pure backlit keyboard had wearing off keys issue
on some keys, keys coating is wearing off
did Vortex change anything with KBT Pure Pro?

Would giving you the dimensions help you?

1. I think the Pure Pro layout is terrible, but that is just my personal opinion. It has just too many non-standard sized keys and feels cramped to me. Some people like it though.
2. I don't think they changed anything in terms of keycaps.

How do I properly remove the space bar from my RF87U without breaking anything? Is there a video that I can use for reference?

Pull straight up on both sides of the spacebar. It's scary but I think that's how you do it.

Thanks me neither i dont really like layout according the described picture...
I am stuck, Poker 2 is pain in the ass to use as well with no real dedicated arrows and i find PBT keycaps quite rough as feeling, definitely i dislike
The other 60% are even worse (HHKB yes it could be interesting but too expensive imo, TEX also too expensive, Pure not pro isnt produced anymore
The only one that caught my eyes its Ducky Mini but Nordic layout LOL

You know Ducky Mini = Poker 2, right? What do you mean by "I find PBT keycaps quite rough as feeling"? If you mean the texture, there are both smooth and rough textured PBT keycaps.

Tried searching, but no luck :(  Does anyone know the default combination for a Winkeyless KMAC PCB (1.4) to swap between different LED modes?  I've seen that the Winkey board probably uses Menu + Esc, but the PCB I have is the WKL version with stock firmware--there has to be something that works for it without reprogramming.  I've tried many different combinations so far, unsuccessfully.

My RF87U flexes, creaks and squeaks when I apply pressure directly on the marked spot. Is that a defect I should be expecting? I did get it from another GHer after all.

It's normal. I have owned several 87Us and they all had the same problem.

And what made you settle with a FC660C?

1. Form factor
2. Build quality
3. Portability

The FC660C is a great keyboard. I still have a 87u-55g, and I use it from time to time, but of all my keyboards, the Leo is my favorite. No one who owns a Leo is settling. :thumb:

Except for aftermarket spacebars.  Hehe just kidding.  I haven't had the priviledge of owning a Leo yet but the layout of the 660 has had me intrigued me for a long time.

Hmm...I might consider trading my RF for a LeoC, but I still am sceptic all about it's issues with the mini USB connector. Have you had any problems with your LeoC so far?

The FC660C is compatible with RF/HHKB spacebars, actually. It is the FC660M that is non-standard. However, the Leo's right shift and modifiers are different than HHKB/RF.

and is it possible to swap all keycaps (including the spacebar)? i've read the FC660C uses pad-printed (thin) pbts and i'd rather swap them for sturdier dye-subbed pbts..

I've seen a few people mentioning it, but not recently, so it may be fixed now. I seem to remember a lot of complaining about it on the keyboard's initial release, though. I wouldn't be surprised if it's fixed.

Does everyone agree that the Filco is better than the WASD V2?

I'm a little late, but I own both and can say that the build quality is comparable. I honestly have no preference between the two as keyboards.
I can't stand the brown switches on my Filco, though. It sure does look nice on my wall with it's Miami caps and custom cable.

Has anyone installed LED's in a WASD V2? Thinking about adding some flare to the board, if there is a guide or something I missed, I apologize, I only did a brief search and didn't find anything specific on this board.

Snag up a Code keyboard and sell your wasd. ^.~

Apart from customs (GH60, sprit's PCB), not that I know of.

If you like the feel of costar stabilizers, you can clip Cherry stabilizers to get a similar feel. I've done this and I think it works.

If you like the feel of costar stabilizers, you can clip Cherry stabilizers to get a similar feel. I've done this and I think it works.

What do you mean by "clip"?

What is there to clip on cherry stabs?

Has anyone's Realforce spacebar stabilizer stems snapped off before?

How do I properly remove the space bar from my RF87U without breaking anything? Is there a video that I can use for reference?

Has anyone's Realforce spacebar stabilizer stems snapped off before?

Ouch, sorry for the progression there lol. Ripster has a bit of help here regarding the spacebar. If you did snap it off, I think Matt3o and others have a model for the Topre stabilizer stems. You can always get one printed up from Shapeways or another company that will do 3D printing and fix it like that.

Nah, I didn't break it. I was flipping the spacebar just now, heard an uncomfortably loud snap when I was putting it back in, thought I broke something.

This was when I was planning to remove the caps to do some cleaning. just worried about the spacebar.

Would like to know also D:...

According to metalliqaz, you just need to hit pause if using the stock firmware.

I have a doubt about Pure keycaps

http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=57056.0

There is several versions of Pure on the market:
- Backlit ABS keycaps
- PBT keycaps
- Non backlit ABS keycaps

Fortunately, Amazon sells a Pure that comes with non backlit ABS
I wonder if it comes with standard ABS or just those special backlit ABS
We can add leds on non backlit Pure through modding but i am afraid about the result of backliting on non ABS keycaps
Hope it will just light the lettering

Non-backlit ABS keycaps should have white letters that will not light up like backlit keycaps.

Then adding leds on standard black ABS keycaps with white lettering is useless?

It won't shine through just the legend, it will light up the cap if its the standard thin ABS. Some pictures can be found in the OP.

And even if there is zero light penetrating the cap, you will still get an underglow effect which I find the most pleasing.
