My bad that it should be 92 keys instead of 96, 96 refers to the 7bit kind of configuration
Going to view the colours in a couple of hour's time and I forgot to bring my camera to work, damn. Gonna work with colour codes and phone camera.

Just got out of office, the amount of colors available is a little bit over what I've expected.
Now to play with colour combinations, will upload some pictures later.

There is even some matt finished acrylic sheets available. Not sure if you guys will like Matt or glossy better.
Any votes?

I would prefer matte since I would mark up glossy finishes with my fingerprints.

Smoke meaning slight grey colour right ? I've seen the Matt black, it is a quite grey in colour, but I just couldn't picture a matt surface and "smoke" colour together.

Here is a potato picture of all the pieces of colour samples thrown at me today at the office, give me a little time to sort it the pictures out.

If you take take a look at PLF524 (bottom left), is it the kind of matt smoke you are looking for? Greyish matt stuff that isn't really transparent, about 80% opaque.

I'll take that grey 80 percent opaque.

Hopefully, you get some better pictures so I can see the difference.

I really like the see-through black/dark gray. I think those will have mass appeal whereas something like a bright yellow will only have small amount of interest.

Most of the colour there on the table are only available as the top and bottom layer. The centre layer uses a different thickness of acrylic and the colours available for the centre portion is definitely not going to be as much as the top and bottom layer.

as for any final dates, I would really want to use to finalise the design with a fit test on the phantom.

When you said 104 setup my heart skipped a beat. PLEASE do it.

Totally happy if the Acrylic Case can hold a Cherry G80-3000 series board. Have heaps of those and would probably buy two for now with the possibility of getting more later.

I will of course buy one TKL case for a spare filco board laying around but definitely want a beautiful 104 case for some Cherry Goodness.

This Group Buy is starting to get EXCITING.....

that's a good question, I know that Filco, Rosewill and soon upcoming CM XT are made by Costar. Here is the trick, Rosewill uses mini USB detachable, Filco has the attached cord, while the CM XT will have detachable USB plug and not mini USB.

I guess when time comes for you to give the 104 boards a shot, for example I have a Rosewill board and when CM XT comes out will have at least few of those in different switches. If you need us to open them up and take measurements we can do that.

EDIT: Imagine how many people would love to get rid of the Rosewill casing just because of the logo on them, also will give Rosewill users to check the mini usb for solder joint failure and they can redoit and add some guerila glue to it to be trouble free for a very long time.

Thank you guys so much for the suggestion and possible help on getting the measurement done!! Will definitely consult you guys for it when we move on to the 104 case!

First we need to get this TKL settled. I'm going to receive the colour samples tags in the next day or two, I really don't like my potato picture taken at the laser guy's office. Will post some that I took later but first things first.... QFR support huh ? So I've gotten myself one QFR to test things out...Sweet box mmhmm

Possible, it is a pcb that converts the 4 pins to female mini b

in for a case like I said previously, OP what sort of modifying we have to do to the case for the QFR cable to fit, or we have to have short cable connected that will stick out of the case with a mini USB female at the end?

I can have screw holes drilled at the bottom layer to mount the daughterboard so you can still use back the old mini usb port.
Either that or you can ditch the whole cable and mini usb port completely and get a custom "filco" cable made.

The current design allows filco users to use back their old filco usb cable and there are some specific holes created so you can just snug fit the cable like the original filco case. The hole is rather small and it doesn't seem to be able to fit something like a micro usb port.

I will definitely look into this more specifically and come out with a better design to solve this cable issue.

It works exactly the same as how it would work on the filco.. the final phase of this prototyping is only anchoring on the design of the bottom layer to accommodate teensy, filco and QFR cabling issues. And yes also about the colour combinations. I'll post pictures after I'm done with work today.
