There are two different standards for caps lock keys. Most modern Cherry MX keyboards have a caps lock key that looks like any other key and the stem is in the center of the key cap like on all other keys.
Keyboards made by Cherry have a stepped caps lock though, because it makes it easier to avoid hitting caps lock accidentally. On these keycaps, the stem is in the center of the higher part, and not in the center of the whole key cap.
In short: you need the right key cap for your keyboard, these are two incompatible systems.
