I have received a reply from Clack on my Paypal dispute. I'll avoid sharing the personal details he included in the reply (that is up to him to share with the community), but acknowledged my change of address request, and said he would be hiring someone to ship all of the remaining orders for him (his health remains extremely poor). His goal is to have all previous orders fulfilled by early July.

I am going to see if I can pass along a message on his behalf (he has limited access to the internet/GH currently), but regardless I'll be withdrawing my dispute tomorrow.

Thank you so much for the update.

Clack if you're lurking right now, I wish you a speedy recovery

Thanks for passing this on btctopre! I figured it was his health that was holding him back.

Clack, I wish you the best. I hope your health situation improves and you can get back to your normal life quickly and easily.

Damn, that sucks. Not the time frame, but the health issues.  It's nice to have an update, though it's sad to have a negative one about his health.

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery and a nice long break to recover.  Caps and all that other jazz comes second to health.

Did he mention anything regarding other address changes? If not does that mean we should all take this route to ensure delivery?

Get well soon Clackman. Let us know if there's anything we can do.

I do understand how chronic health problems can affect your life and it's frustrating when it causes you to be less productive than you'd like.

Local candies, e cards, stuff to read/watch if he is capable of those things.

I would enjoy those things. I mean all I would want is something to keep my mind off the pain/problem.

Hooray signs of life, albeit feint ones.  If he's in bad health there's one thing he can definitely enjoy at any angle with very little effort and that is music.  Does anyone know what he likes?

As when it was suggested during the clackvent I'm up for chipping in if someone ConUS is willing to buy/send something on.

And I sincerely hope it is not the stress of the Radnelac that caused this!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Yup, should be here within a month :)

This is based on Belfong's being fully declared on the customs form which means they will be delayed longer for no apparent reason in customs, then they will have to spend a night in the sorting office before we can pay the ransom for their release...  Hopefully Clack's new assistant is friendly and undervalues them!

Be happy you live in Malaysia - here anything over £15 (about $22) we have to pay import tax on, and whenever that happens it takes ages for someone to print a sticker that says how much.  $50 / 1.5 * 0.1 then add on the fixed handling fee - done.  If this were my day job I'd have a spreadsheet set up and it would literally take five seconds!  Fair enough they have thousands to do, but there's been no bad weather, volcanoes or crazy post times (like Christmas) for ages so there shouldn't be a backlog...

I should get a job in the customs office in the coming weeks

:'(

I guess you'd be doing us a favour though, if we were put off Clacks it could save us hundreds if not thousands and deter us from spending months staying up really late just hoping for a chance of getting one!

I thought I'd read "early" but didn't think to question when someone said "late" - there will be plenty of pics from all you ConUS people at least a week in advance of mine arriving so plenty of time for the anticipation to build.

Hopefully the e-mail replies are a good sign and he's feeling better :)
