One more week? Maybe? I can't even remember if there was a Halloween sale last year, so much has happened between now and then.
Whatever, here's hoping at another shot at a Jack 'O tri color. Slim to none, considering I'm what, 1/14? But still, there's a chance.

CC's been turning his inner wizard on with these GID eyes in senzunite and murica, i hope he has some voodoo left for halloween, just imagining a glowing eyed jack'O makes me feel all tingly

Good call! Potential for glowing combinations for Halloween are endless.

I'd also still like to see some pumpkin combos like an orange body with green face, some purples with orange and bright green, etc.
My wife I a also push her button . But now she have her button push by a different men. So I buy a keyboard a mechanicale, she a reliable like a Fiat.

One of these years I would love to see a holiday clack sale that happens soon enough that the winners can display their newest treasures on their boards during the holiday. I'm not complaining, but it would be great.

Thinking about leaving the game to help my mom pay for hip surgery. Convince me one way or the other to/not to go the eBay rout.

eBay route is better than the Cactux route of putting them on sale in the classifieds at a higher price than they've ever gone for, then *****ing about them not selling for your insane price.

Onto the actual comment.

Cons:

1.  You're a douchebag for selling them for way more than you paid for them, especially since one of them was pretty much a one of a kind gift from Clack and Clack isn't in on the profits.

2.  You're a hypocrite if you've ever spoken out against the ridiculous markups.

3.  You're just like everyone else, using a life emergency, be it real or imagined, to justify jacking up the prices.

Pros:

1.  You're following in the long Geekhack tradition of having a life emergency emerge and selling things at a profit to cover or reduce the costs.

2.  You're doing it for your mom, not yourself, and are trying to reduce her debt and cover what Medicare and her insurance won't cover.

3.  Everybody else does it, so why not be one of the cool kids?

don't! Keep CC in GH!
Do a private sale maybe! (to me? he he)..

The reason I want to use eBay is because I can maximize the amount, and the surgery/aftercare/meds will be very expensive. My mom's 76 and works 2 jobs already, I don't like seeing her like this.

This kind of stuff comes up all of the time.   Do whatever you want with your  caps.   You didn't steal them and attempt to hawk them on the black market.   They're not illegal contraband .......

Makes no difference imho whether you sell them privately at high cost  (which "many" do) or ebay them.    No one is selling Clacks are "original" cost ....... well, maybe Bunny, and Nubs, but they're unique and special.    Everyone else paid some serious cash for their Clacks unless they happened to get in on every sale that Clack has held.

If I desperately needed money, I would sell anything and everything and I've done so in the past.    When I first opened up my practice and ran out of money, I sold off my custom cues, custom knives, my Western Electric audio gear and other high end audio gear etc..   Some stuff I sold for more than I paid and other stuff I sold for less.   But I made payroll and rent, so it was all worth it.

Honestly, I'm not sure how selling some Clacks would really help pay for a hip surgery, but any help is better than none.

BIG CON:   from what I understand, both Clack and Bro will not allow you to participate in future sales if you openly sell on Ebay or on the Classifieds at prices much higher than what you paid.   But I'm sure you're aware of that already.

My 2c.

CC won't blacklist you, but Bro will, this is part of why many bros still stay fairly close to what they went for originally as compared to CCs.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Entered. Putting it out there, if anyone gets a night owl and wants to trade for a Topre cap I have a Trophy Silver that I want to be rid of. Can work out a 2:1 trade as well, got other caps for trade too.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

I'd like to know this as well, since this is my first EK lottery entry.
I figure they are consider two different caps, meaning you can enter for drunken topre and drunken mx.

Yeah something tells me I've used up all my luck with sales recently. I've gotten into the last 2 Clack sales, last 2 Bro sales and the last KBK sale. I'm more giddy now because there are going to be a lot more Night Owls entering the wild, hoping I can trade my way into one!
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

Yay!! I'm getting a "tradition" vibe from these annual Halloween EK draws! I think this is my third!

Have already come to terms with my chances, just making myself comfortable for the next session.
