I might be persuaded to let my remaining clacks go.

I'm done with the clack game for 'personal' reasons.

All the best to clickclack as he has a true gift and these are masterpieces.

It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

Sadly, no.  My dragon has never shat a clack.   Once my unicorn farted out a rainbow though.

Anyway, I was making a joke about using Dragon voice recognition software.  I forgot that maybe not everybody knows about this piece of crap:  http://www.nuance.com/dragon/index.htm

So there was some discussion in the clack photo thread of how to get clacks at retail or at least not marked up to crazy levels.

I think it all comes down to luck and people being decent :p

I think it definitely comes down to all those things. I am getting desperate for a clack sale, I need some topre clacks.

Gonna have to start trolling the classifieds for one at a good price, got to get my first clack :) I mean technically you not collecting clacks unless you actually have one  :))

(just a side note if anyone is thinking of getting rid of some at a good price pm me, I am keen on red (not to fussy on shade), hardcore white, mint gum, 3D or and this is unlikely a skullsicle or julysicle) - not worth putting up a classifieds post for, I think it can be pretty much taken as a given that most of us are after a clack at a good price or a Brobot for that matter :)

Got some GirlDC's a keycap set and some money

I find it is better to stay away. I started out like most people. It is all just fun and games in the beginning, and you see others doing the same thing and they seem to be fine. What could go wrong? But then, you try one, find out you really like it, and that is where things go wrong. Before you know it, you are scouting the classifieds, staying up nights trying to get one, spending money you should not be spending. You obsess over it and once you get what you are looking for, you are already looking for that next fix. Of course the sellers know you need to get your fix, jack up the price and bleed you dry.

When supply runs dry there are some benevolent mates that can sometimes hook you up from their own stash at no charge. But there is also a lot of envy, disappointment, profiteering and general negativity surrounding it. People get into fights, beg others for a fix.... you have to be careful too, there are imitation products out there.

Sometimes I go to a clack thread and look at them. But then I just remind myself that I am better off without them, and it is not really the clacks I want, it is just the thought of having them.

Suit yourself but looking at my night owl sure perks me up when work is dragging on in the afternoon.  This might be because I'm a bachelor who can both afford the time and money to scour for clacks without any real repercussions.  Gives me something to regularly do on the web when I need to kill time, chasing the dragon of Mr Fridays and OG's.  If it wasn't this it would be njs bike parts, pens, headphones, tie bars, or some other trinket for me to hunt down.  I just happen to get to see these every time I sit at work or plop down for a nice gaming session at home.  Power to you though for getting out if it stopped being fun, that's all that really matters.  I know that I have gotten heated over missing a clack by seconds, so I make sure to take a moment and realize IT'S JUST FOR FUN :)

I work every day on the computer. It's often really exhausting, but I enjoy every minute I can work with a keyboard with a clack on it.

I know I spend a lot of money and time hunting these and I can't stop (see my wtb/wtt thread, my list sadly doesn't get shorter...). But I have some cool and unique items that I really enjoy. I had a time where my interest in keyboards and clacks was very low... I was near to sell a lot of my stuff. But I didn't. And if I did, I would really regret it today. Behind each of my clacks is a story. And many of my clacks have very famous (in keyboard-world) previous owners, which makes them even more valuable for me.

This is starting to happen for me for BroBots.  I thought I would be happy with just one.  Well, I got my first one and love it, and now I really want to get more.  Like lots of them, haha.  The same thing will probably happen with me and CCs as well.

Anyone heard anything out of CC lately? He's been quiet for a long time even with the counterfeit drama.

Why you have forsaken us CC? Haha hope everything is okay...
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

I can understand the obsession but I can't see my keyboard having more than one Brobot or Clacks or Gasmask. It just doesn't look good and is very disconcerting. I'm gal I feel this way because I don't have to be obsessively hunting for these stuff.

If any of them are Oktoberfest or Drunken Skulls I'll probably disappear and cry in a ditch for the rest of my geekhack life.
No reason to cry then.  I'm getting a 3-D and several single-colored ones.  Good luck with your search. :)

I can understand the obsession but I can't see my keyboard having more than one Brobot or Clacks or Gasmask. It just doesn't look good and is very disconcerting. I'm gal I feel this way because I don't have to be obsessively hunting for these stuff.
Even if I end up putting just one or two special caps on my boards, I'll still want to change them once in awhile depending on my mood. :)  But anyways, it's definitely better to not get hooked.

I have something to confess.

At first, I tried to convince myself I didn't like clacks. That they were ugly. That I did not need them.

But I was lying to myself. I like these skulls.

I feel better now.

On a magical basis no one knows except for the man behind CC's himself.
