doesn't matter.  pain is pain.

not to mention that you need to use your back to move.  posterior chain. blah blah. back bone is connected to your ass bone etc.

I know, I majored in Exercise Physiology  :thumb:

But not all back injuries are debilitating, which is why I asked. I don't know what goes into keycap making, but I imagine there isn't much heavy lifting or trunk torquing involved. But that is beside the point and none of my business really. Hope he gets better.

I think what kills me most is when I see WTB/WTT threads in the classifieds where people have several Clacks and state that they are for TRADE ONLY.

Then they go on to list what they have to trade, and cash is one of them. Hypocritical?

but.... it says WTB right there in your post

Lol, seriously. I don't see what the problem is...

X wants to trade one of his current CC's for another CC he/she wants.
X wants to maintain his/hers current number of CC's, therefore X doesn't want to sell his/hers.
X wants to buy other peoples CC's because someone might want to let theirs go because they want the money or something.

He's just salty, because of their collection of CC's vs his (I'm guessing 0), I myself actually am not that interested by clacks, mainly due to their inflation in price, there is probably one for me out there, but I'm not looking for that market yet, however I am sort of doing the same thing with Zombros, I would collect them all, and keep them forever is possible, probably not going to happen, but we will see. :O

This is in no relation a post to advertising to sell me your Zombro's...

Pretty much. Do I want to trade or sell mine? Nope. Would I buy one at cost? Hell to the yes!

Couldn't have put it better myself.

anoxy, patience is the key. I was registered for over a year before I got my first clack and I'd been on geekhack for 18 months total. You've been registered since April.

Accepted me? I don't have any "friends" in this community, nor do I expect to make any. I came here after browsing /r/mechanicalkeyboards on reddit for a while because I thought keyboards were kinda neat.

I'm "salty" because I think it would be fun to have one of these artisan keys to throw onto my one keyboard, while many of the users here have many keyboards and many artisan caps that they don't even use on a regular basis. I think it's greedy and impractical.

I'm not going to get myself hurt lol. I have no emotional stock invested in this forum. I come here to indulge in a geeky pleasure through photos, and perhaps the rare opportunity to acquire something unique for my own enjoyment. Frankly, the majority of the people on this forum that have interacted with me have given off an elitist vibe and have acted rather conceited.

I'm not going to become a vulture for a gdamn keycap, but that doesn't mean I won't post my thoughts on the subject on a forum about keyboards, in a thread created for people to vent about their lack thereof.

You know, I actually have a few pairs of shoes. But I guess by your logic I only need one because if I don't use the rest regularly they're useless and having them is "greedy and impractical"

Hardly. I post on many hobbyist/enthusiast forums and they are not where I make my friends. They serve as a forum for people with similar interests to come together and discuss, debate, share, etc.

Sure we can exchange pleasantries and be courteous with each other as we discuss, but these are not people I will be keeping in touch with outside of the forum. That's not a ****ty attitude, it's using a forum as it is intended to be used.

Clearly you do not know much about the concept of minimalism. If those several pairs of shoes each serve a functional purpose, then sure they are necessary and practical. If not, then you do not truly need them and they are excessive. It's not that difficult to understand.

I like to practice minimalism to an extent in my life, but I do have hobbies and small 'indulgences' such as a cool keyboard outfitted with aesthetically pleasing artistic creations. However, I do not need ten of them and I would feel wasteful holding on to that many if they weren't being appreciated or used regularly.

When you spend a lot of time in a forum, it's only natural to make some friends even if it's within the confines of the forums. Your definitions of friends are probably too narrowly defined and in this age and times of connectivity, two people can still be good friends without having being physically near.

I agree, though judging by my history of hobbies in the past, I tend to lose interest and move on rather quickly, so making friends is not a priority of mine. For example, once I get the keyset I've been wanting and perhaps an artisan cap or two, I'll be satisfied and find something else to geek out on, and a new forum to register at. I'm not anti-internet friends, but I move around a lot so fostering deep-seated friendships is probably not the best idea.

Anyway, I've derailed this thread enough. I'll see myself out.

So back on topic - anyone needs therapy after yesterday's bunny sale? The whites are one colour I was eyeing - as I'm building that 3 tone per the Candy Corn - yellow, orange, white. But I'm not sure how to arrange the caps to achieve that effect. Nevertheless those were some great Clacks on sale. That OG was epic. I hope there are some more yellow, reds tonight. Sleepless weekends for sure.

I don't have any "friends" in this community, nor do I expect to make any.

Oops.  Well that settles that then.  This is actually a really great community with awesome people, but you are free to do as you please so that's fine.  I will not, however, be helping you out with anything.

Clearly you do not know much about the concept of minimalism. If those several pairs of shoes each serve a functional purpose, then sure they are necessary and practical. If not, then you do not truly need them and they are excessive. It's not that difficult to understand.

Clearly you are only interested in forcing your opinions on others.  If I want to buy ten keyboards, why should I have to listen to you tell me it's unwise or wasteful?  It makes me happy, and I don't care what you think.  If you could just have one keyboard and keep it to yourself I'd respect you, but we really don't care that you've managed to limit yourself to one.

It might be time for me to finally figure out how to use that ignore feature...

Back on topic!  My luck has changed for the better, my brothers and sisters, and I actually don't require therapy for once in my life.      How crazy is that!

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

So I've been clackless for a good while now, having sold all the clacks I had previously bought at aftermarket prices and promised myself that I wouldn't do anymore buying at those costs.

But I just got some tracking information from Bunny, and in finding it hard to believe that such a sought-after clack is on it's way to me  And that I don't have to stop eating to have afforded it! Wowza.

Belfong, I paid too much for them and found myself getting into that habit, and I wanted to squash it before it got out of hand. Felt good to sell them all and start from scratch.

HPE, yessir, bunny was kind enough to offer me the OG.
Sigh, I am beginning to question myself too and am surprised to find that I thought $100 is ok for a cap! So, yeah, what you (and I think, Dustin to a certain extent, has done) is an inspiration to me.

I sent it first class, I don't think that covers it though. They said they save items over a $25 value, but I doubt the post office knows the street value of a clack.

OMG! This is what GHer fear the most! This is domestic within USA? As an INTL, this fear is always present, nagging behind everyone's mind. So sorry to hear this. Hope it magically appears on the doorstep, one day.  Brrr..

Unless you added insurance at the time of shipping, it's not insured. You can file a claim for missing after 21 days, and they will (usually) refund the cost of the item. Priority is insured up to $50 for free, and can be insured for more for a small fee, this is why I always suggest priority unless it's an international package.

Why does this seem to happen so often with clacks of all things?

Not sure, but just had a brobot go missing for 6 days, then just randomly show up at my doorstep. Hoping the same happens in this case.
