Mod magic.  I had the page loaded with his go, no reply button.  Refreshed, no reply unlocked.  Refreshed, no reply button.   Refreshed, no reply button.  Refreshed, no reply button and response from you.  Two more refreshes before the reply or quick reply button showed up then a long ass time before my reply went through.

I need to give up on this. I've spent so many hours refreshing the thread and I've never even come close. I keep telling myself I won't bother and then 12 hours later I'm back there refreshing.

Don't see how you can say that. I have to deal with the same latency as everyone else. The only reason I probably beat Halverson is that I live closer to the servers than he does. Yes, we can post in locked threads, but CC can obviously weed out those posts.

Definitely seems like the mods have an unfair advantage here.

If that many people saw the same thing as me, yeah, it does.  It may not be intentional, it may be the way the site is scripted.

In any case, with as ridiculous as this is, there's no way I can get one at this point it feels like.  I'd love to get one, but I don't have the time to just sit and wait to try and get one and I'm too bloody exhausted after work to bother.

Does anybody know how the reply button unlock works?

O_o the hell

That's what I saw exitfire.  It took two or three refreshes after your post appeared for any kind of reply button to show up.  And I had every forum setting on to minimize the data that was loaded on the page.

Hence my statement of mod magic.
