I really like the look of the acrylic GONs, at some point I'd love to own one. Sifo did you do any typing on it? My GON HHKB flexes a bit and I'm wondering how much the acrylic boards flex.

Maybe i'm just not as sensitive to it as some other people but i personally don't feel any flex with my acrylic case GON. That said it will flex if i push in the middle section of the board, possibly with less force than i'd prefer but what's most important to me is the feeling when i'm typing so i haven't noticed it in the slightest.

Heh.  Of course there is.  :P

Look around you at all the plastics/polymers you interact with daily.  They all serve slightly different purposes and have different physical properties.  Some are harder, some are more brittle, different wear-resistance, etc.  Plastics aren't just "plastic".

Now, I don't work with acrylics and polycarbonates, so I'm not intimately familiar with their properties, but I can assure you they are quite different.  :P

This is my GON I just finished, it has a combination of blue and black Gateron switches, and, as you can see, it carries Granite keycaps, with the latest blue ISO enter key and some mono-legends to show a happy face at the right of the spacebar.

Updated with the last layout.

That is hard anodized grey. I wish it was darker, but it depends on aluminum type and the anodization process

Yeah the "thocking" sound might also be due to the keycaps.
Oh wells, might mod the switches back to tactile or clicky. or get a new 60%  ;D decisions..

I just cannot use that small 1.25u shift key in commercial ISO keyboards. I even gave it a try, but no; I just, do not like it.
