It is really close to the click clack design is why they are getting all upset.
this is also for profit so the member needs to become a vendor.

What about all the other selling good's they have 'made' for a profit?

And is the OP really making a profit at $4/unit?

I just ask because there are 'others' who make and sell things here in the classifieds who have done so for a while who are not vendors.

He could just post it in the GBs section. Then he doesn't need to become a vendor.

this is threadcrapping at it's best. groupbuys would say that the more people buy them the cheaper they get.

that is not stated here. so it is just a straight sale.

so if I understand all the TC correctly he needs to:
repost this in the GB section
charge 15 a pop and write up a moq so everyone needs to buy 100+ to get it to the $4 price range
or get a vendor tag
just curious as to his options

1) Post in group buys
2) Charge whatever you want
3) ? ? ? ?
4) Profit = running a GB, so do whatever you want

Maybe these cost $8 to make and ship so we are just gifting him his costs.

so basically if you are 'crafting' anything you need to make it a GB or get a Vendor tag?
classifieds is for something already created you are selling or want to buy, or if you are trolling waters?

I think the problem occurs when he's making a profit, if he said "These cost me $4 to make [Look these are my costs]" then you'd be fine. He is acting as a vendor without being a vendor.

I dunno I just saw a cool keychain and for $8 total with half that being shipping I didn't think it was too bad of a deal. And at first I was thinking he only had one of these.

Dude, this is a keychain not a keycap. It's not as if he's trying to replicate CC skulls (something I don't think anyone could do) Hoasican liked CCs skulls so much he turned them into something new. Unless CC himself has a problem I don't see a problem personally.

monster energy makes energy drinks with there logo on it.
if you made a monster energy drink t-shirt you would be breaking there copyright.

yes you didn't make another energy drink called monster energy drink to confuse customers and scam off them. but you would be infringing on the copyright no less.

this is why ebay is constantly scanned for fake rolex's, nike's, tiffany jewelry, sports apparel, you name it.

I wonder why all the elitists who care about clacks are the ones getting hurt (while on CC himself should be angry).

Honestly I don't even think OP owns a clack, and this is far from reality copyright infringement. There is no case, as the clack itself is copyrighted not the overall picture. You cannot recreate a clickclack, but the image is still there. Sure, it might not have been the best thing to do, but I'm sure if clackfactory was against this and messaged him, he would change the design. I mean just the concept in itself sells.

I did receive a PM from clickclack after I apologized to him for adding the mockups for the ceamocap with the CC skull. He appreciated the gesture but made it clear that his design may not be used for reproduction in any manner.

He is still human after all, his methods are indeed admirable  ^-^.

He enjoys what he produces, and the quality reflects he does not profit much if at all from what he puts out. From what I read in his FAQ, the only reason he doesn't mass produce these is because it's become more of a treasure hunt and barter system, that while he knows people out there are profiting greatly, it would go against popular construct to crush the economy completely and make the friends he care about "lose" money or "value" in what they invested in.

Again, CF might be far far different then me, but thats how I see it from his perspective
