Re: raising money for geekhack/geekhackers raffle (last few hours for tickets)
« Reply #350 on: Fri, 18 October 2013, 15:24:35 »
I'm really glad the people who purchased 10-15 received most of the prizes. They deserve it the most, imo. It would suck to spend $50 on tickets and not win.  :p

Haha, $40 gets no prizes...  :)

Actually, thats not true.  I get stickers...  :P

yeah there were lots of big ticket numbers, sorry about that sir

Haha, No worries.  :)  My only goal was to help support all the goodness this community provides.  Winning would only have been a bonus...

Oh wow, I actually won something, I wasn't expecting that. Wonderful cap by do_Og@n. Kind of hoped to win some of the big ticket items but what am I complaining for! It was for a great cause and I'm glad to know my money went to some very good causes :D Thanks to Bunny for setting all of this up and grats to all the other winners.

I am just now catching up with this thread. I had a couple Geekhackers at my house ogling my goods.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated to the raffle. And congratulations to all the winners! I promise the money will be used to put more cool stuff out there for the community.

And as always, big props to Bunny for organizing this. You are a true gentleman. Thank you!

Superb stuff once again, many thanks Bunny, and all the other prize givers, and all those who gave and helped. For the second raffle in a row I won something, I will have to try make something in time for the next one to assuage my middle-class guilt at winning. :) Grats to all the good causes.

I don't think an actual Bunny could do a worse job than the current government.  ;D

Now I can start soldering the upcoming projects, mine's been broken for a couple years. These in Brasil cost a fortune.
Congrats also for this entire community for being so nice and commited.

**** yes!!! A moose!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for organizing Bunny!  This is the first raffle in which I have ever won something, feels so weird.

Super embarrassed at the shoutout, but I am really flattered so thank you  :thumb: I only hope I can contribute as much as the guys benefiting from this raffle. In comparison a RF is so small as to be laughable.

Flamingchook you will be hearing from me, it probably makes more sense for me to direct ship to you.

Let me know if you roll MX or Topre for the moose, sir.

Just wanted to chime in and say congratulations to the winners! You're pulling me ass out of the fire in regards to the wife, and it all goes to GH in the end, since it's less than I have to take out of the charity auction in the end to cover my losses.

Grats to Halvar, and everybody else.

Congratulations to all the winners - some awesome prizes there.

Thank you to BunnyLake for organising it.

And congratulations to the projects that benefited, and the GH community who are recipients of the generosity of everyone who took part.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

i will be sorting out a google form for everyone to fill out who won/ qualified for stickers

most likely that will happen at some point tomorrow as i have a bit of a busy evening, but ill see what i can do, i will also contact all the winners of the items most likely tomorrow as well for addresses etc

once again id like to thank everyone so much, i have spoken to most of the people the money went to and they are very very appreciative
