I've got a USB LED lamp with a flexible neck.  I had it blue takked to the top of my monitor.

Over time it would gradually droop and hang down in front of the monitor, but that would normally take a couple of months.

Despite the cold, it is now doing it every 10 minutes or so.

I got sufficiently frustrated to rip the thing off and now I have a large bulldog clip holding it onto the side of my desk.

It is too close to the keyboard now, and reflecting off the keycaps. (at least it is not reflecting off the screen).

I have a feeling that the bulldog clip is not going to hold it for long either.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

got jalopeño juice in my eye, worst pain ever, literally thought I was going to lose my sight partially

I thought I cleaned up my kitchen from yesterday when I prepared them, however I was wrong as ****.

Since this isn't the first time I've gotten juice in annoying places, I'm assuming I'm just bad at cleaning at this point.

Not only is her music bad, the way she goes around like she is saving music and defending these poor helpless musicians against these evil streaming BASTARDS, when in fact, all she is doing, is helping her self, her multi-million dollar self, how utter ****ing selfless.

Jurassic world wasn't that great

The movie was a joke. Basically straight to DVD Disney level joke.

We going to watch it on DVD together, it's going to be real fun.

Lighting is important, like sleeping.

You can let other things slide, but get a proper light and a good firm mattress, no matter what else.

ps - oh, yes, also good comfortable shoes
"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

Definitely need a new light - this one is bright enough (10 LEDs or something), but the neck of not strong enough to hold it it is just sticks out of the USB port.  Hence the Blue Tak.

I rest my keyboard on a folded sheet of drawer liner (sorry fohat, not one of your mats) - would that count as a keyboard mattress?

Shoe laces (well, technically boot laces) tied into a simple double knot in the morning that, with little encouragement, end up as a hextuple complicated knot that even the most seasoned sailor would be proud of.

I need to kick Moscow off my head. It interferes with my actions and causes frustration.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Kind of bothered me that I've spent all day at work reading r/unsolvedmysteries and creepypasta stories...

That blows. I've been reading most threads that have popped up here. Time moves much faster doing work.

I had the inverse problem, so I've just doubled my work load for tomorrow. Internet hacker clubs and darknet **** get me hella moist, even when most of it is bull****

Listening to npr makes my day go by quick as ****.

But this heat. Lordy lord this heat is not helping. It's actually hotter in this building than outside.

you know what's bothering me... being grossly overworked and underpaid for what I do, considering the sheer number of idiots I am required to deal with on a daily basis would be enough to drop Stephen Hawking's IQ to less than that of an inbred sewer rat...
tp thread is tp thread
Sometimes it's like he accidentally makes a thread instead of a google search.

Don't drive in this.

Whatever it is.

For real though
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done
