I'm still on here quite often, I find myself typing up a post and then deleting it before hitting send. I feel like most people just skim over my posts so I don't really see a point in continuing to post. I loved joining geekhack, everyone so friendly and talkative but its seemed to have changed. That's just my opinion though, still love it here but just don't feel the spark like I first did.

I feel this way on Deskthority I love both forums, but for some reason, I just feel cosier here. I suppose if I could make vintage hauls all the time, I'd have a ton more to talk about there! No such luck though.

GeekHack is cosy, though I can relate to sometimes feeling overlooked, but I doubt that it's every truly intentional.

DT is def more into vintage boards. Which are awesome, of course, but you can get only so far with them. GH seems to be more into customizing and such, so you can always find something new to spice up your setup. But both sites love the Topre!

And then there's /r/mechanicalkeyboards with all their Pok3rs.

DT is definitely not for me, just not into all the vintage boards. I'm much more interested in kustoms and full alu boards. GH is the definitely the best place for customization, Reddit is a ****-storm of pre-builts and nonsense imo.

I first heard of ghost writers when reading Animorphs way back when. A few years after the series ended I somehow found out that Applegate didn't write a good chunk of them, that they were written by "ghost writers." I lost a bit of respect for her, but, then again, not everyone can be RL Stine and crank out a novel a month.

Our network changed when we moved under a new agency.  We have a new Fortune 500 contractor who did the network.  We have had nothing but network issues since the change.  Network drives disappear constantly, Outlook will disconnect from the exchange server and is slow as none other when it does work, and we have frequent issues with our network applications that we have to use to do our job.  I've had my email up for maybe half the day today.

The high winds that have been happening lately blew our radio antenna out of position. This is for our internet.
I had an appointment scheduled Monday to have them come check it out. I got lucky and someone canceled today and they fixed it in 10 minutes.

Sad part is, the speed is slower now (about half the original speed), and we already have problems when the kids start watching youtube videos >.>

Hopefully the slower speed is temporary.
