How rare are Ribbits? I've seen only one or two since joining but I'd really like to own one eventually.
Very rare.

But not as rare as the Miami v2!

Won a Bingecap with only 5 stickets.
Won my first Bro in the Monster Mash sale.
Won my first giveaway Bro.

Where was all this luck when the V2 was still out  :p

Thanks everyone.  Big thanks for the giveaway, Bro!   And thanks to my LTC's assignment on Mission Command analysis at the Battle of Gettysburg which gave me the majority of my story's background.

Congrats to the other 4 winners as well.

Same here, but if we talk about it in the therapy thread aren't we making it worse for everyone else?

Different.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Or you could be like me and buy MX Bros because: not paying attention. No biggie, I have one MX board in active rotation. Two in the future once I get around to buying/choosing/building a 40% board for travel.

Do you like typing on rubber domes? If so, you will like Topre.

Now, HHKB does have the absolute best 60% layout there is...
KMAC :: LZ-GH :: WASD CODE :: WASD v2 :: GH60 :: Alps64 :: JD45 :: IBM Model M :: IBM 4704 "Pingmaster"

Exactly how I felt. Tried it for the first time and thought, "This is it?" Didn't touch it for a while; even listed it for sale. Went back and thought, "This is it!"

First topre board I tried was rarar's HHKB at the MN meetup.  Thought it was "nice", sounded pretty, but was wayyy too expensive.  Now an HHKB is cheap in comparison to basically every other board I own.  :-[ :))

I have a HHKB, just trying it out for the 4th time and I'm still apathetic.  Maybe I need to embrace the noisy bottoming out (and even noisier rebound clack) rather than attempting to keep it quiet?  Also it annoys me that there's no way to type a | as I use it in ISO, but that's my fault...

Still picked up a Freshly Ded Zombro to go on it along with the Rustler and F&N set!
