If anyone finds a reddit post complaining about aftermarket markup of brocaps, just remind them that they wanted FEWER limitations on who could buy a brocap.

TBH ebay listings give a rough area of where the sale is. I doubt there are many names to whittle down to get a good idea of who it is. Not saying it should be public knowledge, but I think selling bros on ebay as soon as they delivered pretty much get's you a spot on the 'black list'.

I don't get this flipping for profit. I love each Bro cap I have, it was really hard for me to get them and each has a special place on my boards. With a little luck I plan to get one to mach each of my boards, to be honest if I'm lucky I will only need to get a topre one for my HHKB and that's it If in the future I'll have an extra one I will give it away to someone who will appreciate it because 2 of my Bro's were kind gestures from other users here and I feel I owe it to the community and it's the right thing to do.
For me a person who is lucky to get one in a sale and sells it afterwards just for profit is, well ... scum

Yeah, I think that is what is going to wind up happening to me. I'll just tell myself there are too many keysets out there to not have at least one MX board, but it is going to be hard to put it into the rotation because Topre just feels so dang good to type on.

When I posted mine for trade I got several PM's asking to buy outright, including an offer that was more than double what I paid for one of them. I just politely told them no and moved on. I feel bad for those that are trying to get them because they want them and haven't succeeded when people are out there flipping them as soon as they come in.

You're not wrong ... but do you really believe that this kind of stuff wouldn't happen if the post requirement was 100 instead of 50?
it sucks but sadly i don't think there is a way to completely stop these kind of things.
