I also PM'd him and offered to buy all of them at retail. He replied with the offers he had received. Oh well, I'll eventually get a Bro.

would people still love BBv2s if they were like HKPs? compared to brobots those things are like pigeons, they're everywhere.

I would.  I don't like the HKP designs outside of the blanks.

well obviously if brocaps were widely available the prices would decrease, but I think they would still be very very popular artisans

It certainly wouldn't be hyped as much but I'd still want one, I was looking for V2 before even knowing about brocaps and how slim a chance it is to obtain one  :'(.

As I've said before I apreciate the artistic side and not the rarity. For me the value is beyond the pecuniar aspect.
For example the HKP caps are not a design I'm very fond of, I still apreciate the skills but it's not for me. The blancks are an exception, I love them.
Also with CC's , the skull is something that doesn't say anything to me, but the ogre and the blanks are something else.
With Bro Caps, I love BBv2, but the simplicity of the new gamer caps is something that is impressing me more, such a simple cap but at the same time with lots of details, I just love it.
A simple Esc in Red Yellow and Blue would be the ultimate cap for me :)

One think I don't understand is how the hell people are able to find anything on reddit , that is like a huge collection of PostIts  I have tried and tried and gave up at one point, how can a normal person go through that nightmare of a forum and find something beats me, I guess I'm too old for that ****  :))

This is the absolute truth. I have tried to understand how Reddit works, but I just don't get it. It is impossible to find anything of meaning on there. It's not that it is bad...it is just impossible for me to use effectively. It seems like it is run by teenagers with ADD.
Yep, and it's a shame because I saw some really interesting things over there, but only when I've got a direct link. Any attempt of finding something ended in a failure for me :)) I don't even get it how the hell to PM a guy :))

its just a news aggregation site...
Absolute truth. I even tried the iPhone app, thinking it will make things easier but no, it's just one huge mess! I am puzzled at its popularity.

You can turn signatures off in your profile settings.

Profile - Modify Profile - Look and Layout - Don't show users' signatures.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Occasionally sigs have useful information so I generally don't turn them off. It's just on the default theme, it can be hard to tell where one post ends and another begins, and the other themes are ugly or hurt my eyes. People don't trim their nested quotes either, so you just get a huge mess of lines for a three word response.

You need moar Bro Caps then, to make the entire row the same height.

MX V2's seem to be closer to OEM profile, bummer for Cherry-profile sets. I suppose I wouldn't be shocked if the height of the mold wasn't different between stems.

I imagine the difference in height is maybe due to Bro going off the size of Cherry caps and that they are higher than standard Topre caps?

The nested quoting here is a real problem. Most threads turn into mountains of pointless quotes because people cant be bothered to trim down what they are responding to. Most forums I've ever used automatically trim your quote so its only one level deep.

And on top of it, half of the time people don't know how to use the quote function properly and wind up writing their reply within someone else's quote. It's a disaster all around.

Quote
The nested quoting here is a real problem. Most threads turn inthinking is hardto mountains of pointless quotes because people cant be bothered to trim down what they are responding to. Most forums I've ever used automatically trim your quote so its only one level deep.
And on top of it, half of the time people don't know how to use the quote function properly and wind up writing their reply within someone else's quote. It's a disaster all around.

To be honest I find all this quoting thing funny here on GH, I'm sure most people quote that much only to troll. I quote only when it's worth doing it, you can address one user so much nicer with @ .
My guess is most of people post from a mobile device, and editing quotes it's not that easy :))
Still it makes more sense than reddit, sorry :p

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
