New set-up with my new keyboard :D

Don't the tweeters normally sit on the top of the speaker?

Looks very cool but you might possibly have them upside down, which hey, more power to you!

I have my speakers on their sides which everyone gives me flack for, but they won't fit any other way, fortunately I am not running a studio in my house  :))

Looks great!

I would, but they are already on the right side. https://www.google.ca/search?q=polk+audio+tsi100&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:fr:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=fr&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=kTC1UfPLLrOp4AO2iICYAg&biw=1920&bih=952&sei=lDC1Ue2cAdDB4AOZhYCYBQ

Anyway I'll buy M-Audio BX5 D2 and the TSI100 will be for my TV.

I got schooled on those speakers  :'(

Going to be posting up tonight hopefully, waiting on filing cabinet to get delivered and I will be setting everything back up with the re-finished table top.

If any of you guys like this sort of thread, Hardforum has a pretty solid LCD and Desk picture thread on their subforums that are hundreds of pages long!

Yes I made my 'case' myself. It is made with steel and plexi with motherboard tray from Lian Li, with all metal parts done in semi gloss enamel finish. I will take some more detail pics of the PC later. I still need to do some work on it to finish it. Specifically I need to make couple more holes in the motherboard tray to route sata, internal usb, and fan cables behind the motherboard so they are not looping around the outside. Another thing I need to complete is to finish make piece for mid section which will hide the cable cavity, to install front panel connections and power button on. Also I have been considering redo the base to make it a little bit wider so I can fit 38mm thick fans in the mid section cavity instead of 25mm thick. I want to do this so I can use stronger but still quiet Sunon mag lev fan for improved cooling on the radiator to prepare for hotter running Haswell update.
I wanted to make something that is modern looking, and was not a box. I think it came out very nice looking. The only big mistake I made with the layout was placing the reservoir. It really limited my choices in GPU as max length can be no more than 24cm.

I think the case so far is very impressive and it sounds like you have some great plans for it.

ya these cutting surfaces are very prone to heat. either they curl up or they crackle. (there is usually a little piece of paper that you should not put them outside in direct sunlight etc.)

the first mat I got from amazon was sitting outside in the sun for a couple of hours in the box and when I opened it it was like perished and dead. (RMA)

Maybe dust, but then I see it always so it stays very clean too. So, no there is no problems. Though if one had small children or curious pets I am sure it could be a very bad idea to have such a thing.
Since it is open there is nothing to trap heat, so even though it is passive cool only except for the radiator fans which can't be seen on the other side behind the motherboard, it is cool running and also very quiet.

maybe if you put a torch on it but i've been soldering and using a heat gun for heat shrink on it for a couple hours a day for the last 6 months and it still looks perfect.

Finally got around to cleaning my desk, rearranged things a bit, and decided I'd best take a photo (er, well, it's actually a 6-frame HDR) because it probably won't be anywhere near this clean again for months:

Wow, very clean indeed. I would suggest getting one of those rubber mats for your chair because it will eat into the wooden floor and make it dull. Also, what is that thing with the red tube stickingout next to your right speaker?

That's a nice clean layout :)

Wish mine was even a fraction as tidy as that.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
