Well, since it seems like middle of the month works pretty well for most, could we get a poll put up with options for the weekends of the 8th, 15th, and the 22nd of August?

That seems like a good idea. Pick 3-4 weekends, put up a poll to vote on a date, then find a place to put us up. Let me know if you need help booking a place hwood34. I've got someone who can help out.

Well we could always try and get another hotel space but it might be pricey. I think we might have better luck looking in one of the outer boroughs, Long Island, or New Jersey. Not 100% sure though. There are various websites that allow people to rent meeting spaces by the hour/day (One, Two, Three), but it might be easier to try and find a local NYC user who has access to a company office space. Perhaps eth0s?

Remember to keep in mind that anything in just Manhattan will be more expensive than the rest of NYC.

Also I could give my Alps presentation again or give a crash course presentation on CAD programs.

I'll try to make it if Amtrak doesn't crash again from Philly to NYC. My wife will come, too, but watch out for your topre keycaps; keep them under lock and key, please.

Right now that date is kinda up in the air for me because of some abrupt changes. But if the amount of people that could only come on the 22nd is a decent amount higher than the other two, I'm sure I could find a way.

Based on the amount of people coming and when, my aunt has a penthouse we can use if it is in NYC. I'd have to ask her about it once location and dates are confirmed. I thought this might be a nice option instead of having to rent a place.

I can't commit until I buy a plane ticket, which I won't do until there is a hard reservation on a venue.  Can't afford to take a risk on this one, sorry hwood.  If it were a driveable venue I'd commit.
