cody is eating breakfast then off to ctrl alt headquarters to ship for day, should be able to get this buy wrapped up in one sitting

im gonna go through the thread now, and pick a couple of people out to throw in a ctrl alt tshirt, and pick 5 or 10 or so to also get one of our new keychains, just to say thanks to the epople keeping the thread active, and showing their support

anyone who wants a tshirt, feel free to make my life easy and post your size below

Awesome! This is why we love Ctrl|Alt!

Men's large, just in case.
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.

I can't resist buying a Tex Orange 60% case to go with this set, what do you guys think?

Bronze / Silver / Dark Green are some other options, but I think orange might go well, but it's a bold/risky color in general

I think it would look like the Cody's GON HHKB, don't you think? In terms of color I mean.

That was my inspiration, but I'm not sure whether the shade of the tex case would agree :)
Hard to speculate from the online pictures: http://imgur.com/a/3yroA - in my case, the plate is going to be stainless steel, so I'm not entirely sure how the setup would turn out :)
A silver case seems more risk-free, however an orange one could be more rewarding

Take the risk; it could be awesome. If not you can de/re-anodize it, sell it, etc.

What board are you going to use?

Infinity, with a 1u DEL in the top right corner

Even with the flexibility of the hack'd by geeks set, it seems I will have to mix some rows, probably only the Esc/Del at the top row, so it could turn out interesting, they will both be row2 instead of row1 (there is a row1 esc, but it seems like a good idea to use the row2 one to accompany the row2 del :)

Honestly, I'm buying a 3rd infinity just for this keyset, questioning my decisions regularly
I would make it much simpler for myself If I was able to skip this set, as I have a lot invested in DSA keycaps, the sculptured and thicker SA's might ruin the thin DSA's for me :)

Orange Tex case looks good with raw stainless plate.

Case, caps, and rest are three different shades of orange, but still look nice together. :)

That indeed looks very beautiful, thanks for the picture, I was intending to get a silver case instead, but after seeing that picture, it's most probably going to be an orange one

-----

suicidal_orange, for some reason I'm obsessed with keycap labels, can't get myself to use incorrectly labeled keys, I think it might be nice tho, since the keys are functionally different, the difference in height could be even beneficial

Who the hell does that??

It's not like you're asking to ship next day air it in a wooden crate full of Build-a-Bear dolls for protection.

Just use a different shipping option. Not a big deal.

The 2.25/2.75 shifts seem to be row3, yet the additional 1.75 shift looks like it's row4, is this the case?

Couldn't wrap my head around the height logic from the layout here: https://ctrlalt.io/buys/hack-d-by-geeks

Hoping the 1.75 shift is also row3, that would serve the symmetry well

Hoping the 1.75 shift is also row3, that would serve the symmetry well

I missed them, but there seems to be Row3 1.75 Ctrl + blanks, so there seems to be more than enough keys to experiment / find an optimal selection/alignment

I really like Ctrl Alt's keycap selections (Ivan's too, although I haven't joined one of his group buys yet), I just wish you guys included 1.25 CMD's or blanks with the Hyperfuse GMK too :)

BunnyLake - I purchased one of the extra sets you had. I'm all paid up. Am I also part of this batch shipping? Super excited

sorry guys, havent been around all day and im a bit backed up on pms

about 70% of this has shipped, and has already been dropped to the post office

the remainder of the orders made on the site are being packed and shipped now and should all be completed tonight, and pm orders will follow shortly after

the above post should answer the question adequately enough, however cody didnt get to finish the other 30% last night in the end

so as with the posts i made a few above, thatll either happen tonight or this weekend

I just received my set. Looks great! However, it seems as if the right shift key's stem has an issue. The shift key is slightly tilted in the plane of the keyboard, about -2 degrees tilt. Small but enough for me to notice. Possibly a manufacturing defect?

It's no problem. I'll send a pic when I can. Hopefully if anyone else notices this issue they can make a note here too.

just occured to me to mention that the shifts are r3 and the rest of the keys on that row are r4, im assuming you know that and it isnt the issue, but just throwing it out there as something so you can check it against the other shift
