Hey guys,
So I have the soft landing pads from EH coming in the mail sometime next week, and I'm really anxious about doing the landing pad mod. Not anxious in the excited way, but in the "what if I mess up?" kinda way.
From anybody who's had the experience or knowhow, what are the things that I should be looking out for that could go wrong when I do the mod?
One of the things I read about is that it's really easy to unseat the rubber dome and spring combo when you take apart the plate and the PCB. How easy is it to reseat the dome and spring back properly?
There's also the issue of taking out the sliders. Some guides I've seen suggested cutting the little tail at the top that sticks out and prevents it from coming out of the hole, while some other guides suggest popping the slider out from the bottom using a screwdriver and skipping the tail entirely. Are any of the two ways bad for the keyboard?
Lastly, there's also the issue of the modifiers. Being larger, their sliders are harder to take out. How likely is it that I'll end up breaking one of these?
Apologies for being such a worrywart. I love my HHKB Pro 2 to death and I don't want to accidentally destroy it from the inside when I'm doing this silencing mod.
So for convenience, my questions were:
1. How easy is it to properly reseat an unseated rubber dome?
2. Screwdriver or cut the tail thing?
3. How hard is it to break the modifier sliders?
4. Any additional helpful tips for anyone who's done the mod?

Thanks for all the help guys!
